Xenoceratops

So I brought my second BOTM figure (the Xenoceratops) and I am absolutely seething with it. Ok, so. First thing out of the box, the joints are all fused in place. Read the instructions and I decide to put it in hot water. Two things wrong with that. First of all, the figure is now covered in white patches from losing some of its paint, and second THE FIGURE IS NOW FULL OF WATER. I shake it around and I can hear water sloshing around inside. And finally no matter what I do, the tail won't pop in. I am very disappointed, and I expected more from Creative Beast's second, objectively better release.
