Torvosaurus

Recently, we have gotten our first trailer for Walking with Dinosaurs 2025, which showcases an array of species. However, I believe that there are many species not already shown. Here are the species that are confirmed, as well as ones I believe will appear, in the first two episodes.

Episode I: The Lourinhã Formation

Confirmed

• Lusotitan: This new Sauropod will be the main focus of the episode, as one of them attempt to find a mate. They will be showcased with a speculative inflatable air sac on their crest, similar to the Prehistoric Planet Dreadnoughtus.

Others

• Allosaurus: I doubt that Lusotitan will be the only species to appear in the episode. I reckon we will see the return of Allosaurus, as it was an iconic species from the original series, and also one of the large theropods of the formation. We will have at least one carnivore, as Thomas Holtz stated, "I mean **something** has to be a menace to the Lusotitan". Additionally, we have an image of a theropod eye with the reflection of a Lusotitan in it.

• Miragaia/Dacentrurus: As this is the only Jurassic Episode, I reckon they will try to show off as much varied Jurassic fauna as possible, and what better species to show than a Stegosaur?

• Dryosaurus: Another dinosaur from the original series I think may return is Dryosaurus, as it could showcase diversity in the ecosystem.

• Torvosaurus: Torvosaurus has become fairly popular recently, so I reckon that there is a fair chance of it appearing. Besides, it could potentially fight an Allosaurus for the Lusotitan. Additionally, the comment that Holtz replied to was talking about Torvosaurus.

Episode II: Cedar Mountain Formation

Confirmed

• Utahraptor: It looks like Utahraptor and Gastonia are going to be the main dinosaurs in this episode. The Utahraptors are depicted accurately with feathers, and personally I really like their colour schemes.

• Gastonia: One of my favourite Ankylosaurs finally makes an appearance. There will at some point be a fight between two Gastonias, and later a fight between one and a Utahraptor.

• Planicoxa: This Iguanodont is known to be making a brief appearance in this episode, making it one of two Ornithopods confirmed for the series.

Others

• Falcarius: I doubt many other species will appear in this episode. Falcarius is a bizarre early Therizinosaur, and I feel like they might appear to show off the strange animals that evolved in the early Cretaceous.

Torvosaurus was a Jurassic theropod that belonged to the Megalosauridae family, it was the largest of its kind and was truly a beast. I love Torvosaurus despite other very likeable dinosaurs in its environment such as Allosaurus and Diplodocus. Torvosaurus always stood out to me. Stood out to me as a king of its habitat. Although not as commonly found as Allosaurus (I cope by saying allosaurus probably inhabited areas that were more savvy to fossilization but thats massive copium from me) I think Torvosaurus was just as if not more succesful as the lion of Jurassic North America. This is just me gushing about how amazing I think Torvosaurus is, the snout, the proportions, the size, all of it just tickles my Fruitadens and makes me absolutely adore this theropod.

This is also supposed to be in an art show as the black/white Suchomimus from last year was. There's still time for me to submit it!

I have been having depression lately and "solving" it by staring at screens and going online all day. So, I'm going to be cutting back on my time SEVERLY I probably will be completely inactive for a few months. I know it’s currently a synonym of Torvosaurus, but is that settled? or is it subject to change?

I based the colors on the colors of the trees and dirt in the California Redwoods. Torvosaurus didn't live in California, but the environment was somewhat similar because it was a coniferous forest next to a desert.

A.K.A Sarcopterygius

Here we see a young Torvosaurus resting by the body of its dead parent. This drawing represents the problem of plagiarism. The Torvosaurus was chosen because the first page I ever had to remove plagiarized content from was the Torvosaurus page. The reason the child survives and the adult dies is to show how much the page shrunk and is now 70% useless.

In the past two days I have found over 50 plagiarized pages. There could be thousands. There are also only a few users who are actually dedicated to editing, most users here stick to the forums while the wiki rots. If you truly care for this wiki I trul6 suggest you help edit and replace plagiarized info with non plagiarized info.

Right now I'm going through the pages marking the plagiarized pages. Once I'm done I will go through and add non plagiarized info.

Today my mom and I went to the Cincinnati Museum! I had wanted to go for a long while because they have a Torvosaurus, and I've never seen one before. Here's some of the fossils that were present, the ones I thoughts were cool.

Some kind of Jurassic-age crocodylomorph

Galeomopus - first heard about this guy in 2021, when I learned the museum allows people to go on digs with the team in Montana

Allosaurus - damn Allo is way smaller than I thought it was. I knew it was smaller than Sauroph but it doesn't look very imposing

Dromaeosaurus - near several paravian and avian dinosaurs, to show evolution of feathers and flight

Daspletosaurus - Exact opposite as Allo, I didn't realize how big Daspleto was

Coelophysis & Geosternbergia (yes I know it doesn't exist now)

Apatosaurus - wow this guy was huge. Appears half of it was tail. Most of it was a metal outline

Torvosaurus - ah, the guy I came to see. Bigger than I thought it was, especially compared to A. fragilis

That's it for Mesozoic! At least worth mentioning. Othnielosaurus, Compsognathus, and Confuciusornis was also there. There was a few random teeth and skulls of Camara, Edmonto, and Alberto, among others. Onto the Paleozoic exhibit!

Tullymonstrum - Hell yeah Tullymonstrum! Goofy ahh thing. One of the best prehistoric animals from Ohio

There was also Cladoselache and Tiktaalik, but didn't show those (obviously) among other random things. After that was a Cenozoic exhibit, but I didn't get many photos there. It had a mastodon skeleton and models of dire wolves (correct name! A. dirus), Casteroides, Megalonyx, and I think a Megaloceros, but honestly I can't tell, there wasn't a sign for it.

I got a Daspleto and Torvo ornament and a fossil Orthoceras from the gift shop.
