The 2020 Study:

A study by British paleontologist Symth and colleagues suggested that Sigilmassasaurus is synonymous with Spinosaurus, and that the specimens previously attributed to Sigilmassasaurus should be considered part of the Spinosaurus hypodigm.

Synonymy:

If this is supported by future research, both Sigilmassasaurus and the Brazilian spinosaurine genus Oxalaia would be rendered junior synonyms of Spinosaurus, expanding its range and potentially supporting the theory of faunal interchanges between Africa and South America during the Cretaceous.

Some of you may not agree with what I say but just bear with me on this one okay? Alright, here I go.

Hot take 1: Ankylosaurus can beat a Triceratops in a fight, yep, I said it, fight me like a man!

Reason why I say this: you see, Ankylosaurus has a lower center of gravity which means that if a Trike tries to stab it with its horns, all the horns would do was scrape its armor, on top of that, it's the armor, the armor is tough. Here's a skeletal by who I think is one of the best paleo-artists out there, Fadeno.

Like, what can the Triceratops do, flip it? No it can't. Ankylosaurus is just too heavy to even be flipped. On top of that, the Ankylosaurus has its best weapon, that trusty club of it. I think with just 2 strikes, I think Ankylosaurus takes this.

Hot take 2: a fight between like a Therizinosaurus vs Tyrannotitan is 50/50.

Reason why I say this: you see, Therizinosaurus' claws are no knives, they're not efficient weapons, the reason is. Theri claws were not curved enough to be considered efficient weapons, on top of that, Therizinosaurus met with Tarbosaurus, a dinosaur that is similarly sized with the likes of Acrocanthosaurus or Tyrannotitan.

Hot take 3: to all of you Oxalaia and Sigilmassasaurus doubters saying that Oxalaia and Sigilmassasaurus is Spinosaurus, then I only have 1 word to say to you, bruh.

Hot take 4: Carcharodontosaurus is not a Spino punching bag.

Reason why I say this: first of all, Monsters Resurrected and Planet Dinosaur are wrong as hell, if you're gonna say that Carchar is weak against Spinosaurus, you either have to be dumb or on crack. One, Carcharodontosaurus is more powerful than Spinosaurus, any Carcharodontosaurid that is a Megatheropod vs Spinosaurus is one-sided, Spino vs Acro, Acrocanthosaurus wins, Tyranno vs Spino, Tyrannotitan wins, Giga vs Spino, oh boy Spino gets low-diffed by Giganotosaurus, and Carcharodontosaurus vs Spinosaurus, Carchar also low-diffs Spino.

Hot take 5: Suchomimus is not weak af.

Reason why I say this: 1, Sucho is massive, and if your gonna say that Allosaurus can win against Suchomimus than you're just saying bs stuff, like there is a massive-ass size difference. Look at this picture and tell me if you still believe Allosaurus can win against Suchomimus.

Do you believe your Allosaurus now? All Sucho needs to do to Allosaurus is just slam it on the side and just slash it with its claws (no bias to Suchomimus arms intended) I mean, it does tower the hell out of Allosaurus, so a Suchomimus vs Allosaurus fight is just one-sided.

Hot take 6: Magnapaulia is more based than Shantungosaurus, fight me.

Welcome back to MFA where i am going crazy by the second! todays episode we will be pitting up Sigillmassasaurus brevicollis(originally was gonna be suchomimus) up against acrocanthosaurus atokensis!

The fighters

The sigillmassasaurus(which we will be calling sigil for now) was a species of large spinosaurid from the kem kem beds in morroco during the late cretaceous period. it is much similar to other theropods in this grouo such as oxalia and spinosaurus. so we won't be doing a full intro

The acro is a species of large carcharodontosaur located in the pauluxy river formation during early cretaceous north america. it preyed on sauropods and hadrosaurs aswell as nodosaurs and the occasional deinonychus if it presents itself

An acro is chasing down a wounded sauroposeidon. the sauropod is fatally bitten on the neck by the theropod chasing it. a sigilmassasaurus comes out of the water. the acro growls and walks over to its opponent. the sigil swipes at the high spined lizards with its claws. the acro attempts a bite but misses. the sigil bellows loudly before getting bitten on the sail by the acro. the spino ripoff bites the acros leg which does nothing so it resorts to slashing. the cut causes the acro to move back from the duck of doom. the acro knocks the sigil over and delivers a strong bite to neck, slicing deep into the spinosaurs neck before getting a claw to the skull. the acro lets go and is vibe checked by a skull injury. the sigil although hurt severely, walks over to the dead sauroposeidon and begins eating it. it won't be able to fight anymore because of the deep wounds that the acro left behind.

I honestly believe that in this scenario that sigillmassasaurus will have a low chance of winning, on land. although this fight took place on land, the sigil would have had a higher chance of winning in the water with the acro winning more on land.
