For those saying Moros and Siats, they were both separated by 2 million years. Also for Ulughbegsaurus and Timurlengia, the former is dubious(they're all different sizes anyway).

Next up on my list of species to draw this year is Moros intrepidus! A very cool tyrannosauroid from Utah.

I was going to draw it lying down in a forest at night, but couldn't get the body in the correct position, so that's for a later project.

First off some of u prob forgot abt Paleoplanet(I don’t blame you) so here’s a quick little recap

Paleoplanet was something I started in Mid October but it went on hiatus after New Years.

Its a “Dinosaur Survival Game” of sorts I’m working on and I’m currently reviving it after 8 months(How has it already been that long wtf)

First up are the Megapredators that are the dominant predators of the Ecosystem

(Yes Ik Torvo and Siats are oversized shut the fuck up)

And yes the Astorgosuchus sexual dimorphism isn’t as massive as it probably would be in real life

Torvo and Siats are both the main land predators, with Siats attacking large and bulky prey while Torvosaurus attacks armored prey, with different specialities to tackle these prey animals

Astorgosuchus meanwhile, is far more generalist than the others, attacking anything that gets near the water, although it’s not completely useless on land since it can Highwalk and gallop.

And for the record, Astorgosuchus cannot go into saltwater for an extended period of time, only around an hour.

Next up are the Macropredators, Rajasaurus, Allosaurus, Baryonyx and Cryodrakon

A month ago by now, I got to meet a paleontologist: Lindsay Zanno, the one who named Moros, Siats, and Eolambia! It was an 80-minute presentation about the evolution of T. rex, but mostly about the Cedar Mountain formation (tough it was never specifically named, I could tell because of the place and animals featured). At the end was Q&A and I got to ask two questions:

Q: How do you know its a new animal based on a fragmented skeleton?

A: You look at it and compare it to currently known ones, trying to find a signifcant difference between the two. You can also look at modern animals for reference.

Q: I've heard that T. rex and its relatives were evolving smaller arms so they had a stronger bite; is that what abelisaurs, with their spatula-sized, elbowless arms were doing as well?

A: Yes. In fact, any theropods with smaller arms were probably trying to maximize their bite strength.

I also got my photo taken with her, but I won't show due to privacy reasons; I will show, however, a poster and my own Moros intrepidus model that she signed after the presentation!

Look(Since I don’t have the willpower to draw these bastards):Siats had a greyish brown body with a light fuzz and a bit of brown feathers on the back of their heads,males have brightly colored feathers under their arms

Niche:Siats hunts large,bulky animals like Amphicoelias,Camarasaurus and Titanoceratops,armored animals like Euoplocephalus and Wuerhosaurus are no goes,they resist bleed(its main damage output) Euoplocephalus can break Siats’s bones which cripples it easily,Wuerhosaurus can Stun Siats which can also cripple it since it’s built for speed.It’s bleed can cripple the large sauropods and Titanoceratops

The largest Nodosaur defending itself against one based Carcharodontosaurid. They're definitely the gigachads of all the Cedar Mountain Formation, Cedar Mountain might be my new favourite formation with Elrhaz maybe finally meeting its match imo.
