Last episode the group went back to the baharia formation and on their first attempt at going to the formation they ran into a bit of trouble as a stomatosuchus which was looking at the time portal got thrown through it by a large hungry carcharodontosaurus that followed it through, causing the first attempt to go after their target species spinosaurus a failure due to safety issues and them dealing with a hungry carcharodontosaurus and a large crocodile. On the second attempt at getting spinosaurus they were successful and they also got a pair of deltadromeus as well. Now for the new episode to begin.
As the park staff were looking at the spinosaurus pair which were doing quite well they noticed a dead animal body that was not the fish species that they kept stocked in the pond. It was the body of a pterosaur that was partially eaten with a hole from the spinosaurus hand claw in the skull. After a little bit of research it was figured out that it was a Caulkicephalus a pterosaur so far only found in the Isle of Wight. The park staff went through the security camera footage through out the park since the trip to the Isle of Wight in the past. After going through the footage it was found that the Caulkicephalus flew through right before the time portal closed behind the Brighstoneus family. But it wasn't alone three of them flew into the park. During the time the main staff was looking at the security footage for the pterosaurs almond was able to secure a lot of land for the park including a bit of the coast that would be perfect for pterosaurs. After a while the park security near the phorusrhacos chick that was halfway grown reported that the pterosaurs were trying to scare the young terror bird from something near the pond in its enclosure. It was decided to temporarily remove the phorusrhacos from the enclosure after reports of a large nest like structure that was not a terror bird nest was found in the enclosure. The capture group had a plan they figured out when the pterosaurs returned to the nest they would sedate the pterosaurs and then move the sedated pterosaurs and nest into a holding pen with a wire mesh top just like they did with the argentavis. Except there is just one problem the holding pen needed to follow legal guidelines is currently inhabited by an animal already the carcharodontosaurus. Which means that the carcharodontosaurus has to be moved to its enclosure first which is currently being built. Not wanting another incident like the neovenator one they had to reinforce the fence with hollow metal bars for durability. But welding the bars takes time. So the decision was to move the carcharodontosaurus anyway since they were almost done and the only welding left was on the outside of the enclosure so it was decided to move the carcharodontosaurus. After moving the carcharodontosaurus they were able to catch the pterosaurs and move the nest withthem. It was decided to use a little bit of the new coast to keep the pterosaurs in so construction was started.
But when going through the land they acquired they found a small fenced-in area and larger fenced-in area. It was discussed on what to do with the areas they found a few things were tossed around. Delta suggesting getting compys to fill one of the areas but that was decided against due to the terrain in the fenced-in areas being rocky and not ideal for them. Spinozilla suggested Camarillasaurus and just combine the two areas which were close to each other for it but that was decided against due to the fact that they got two spinosaurus and have a baryonyx which already give the keeper staff trouble. Conca suggest gallimimus and combine the two spaces but after a little bit of discussion that was decided against due to the size of the two areas would not allow the gallimimus to behave properly and the gallimimus could just step over the top of the fence due to its height. Then megalania enthusiast suggested possibly getting Dimetrodon for the smaller area and edaphosaurus and a few other small Permian period reptiles for bigger area. After a little bit of discussion they went with megalania enthusiast's idea after Rexyisdebest jokingly said they should expand and combine them for an allosaurus which acryallo was in favor of but then the realization that they already had a enclosure they were working on. Conca looked at the locations where Edaphosaurus and Dimetrodon lived eventually it was decided to go to the Arroyo formation after seeing the diversity there. After packing an assortment of gear for the different animals there including a shallow tank in case they found a certain amphibian one of the staff D1n0 wanted to see and try working with. When they got to the Permian Arroyo formation they arrived into a rocky coal and ash filled environment. Realizing that they went too recent in time and the wrong place seeing a herd of scutosaurus driving off an Inostrancevia they returned to the present and realized the gateway was set to the wrong thing on accident as when the group was leaving Permian Russia the ecosystem lights up in flames from lava hitting the coal on the ground they arrived in the start of the mass extinction event. When they arrived to the present with the park mission jeep covered in ash from the volcano. When they finally got the jeep cleaned they arrived Arroyo formation and knew they were in the right place when they saw a Dimetrodon feasting on a dead eryops. They realized though they arrived in the middle of a drought as they found the amphibian d1n0 wanted to take care of in the park in a bad situation on land in a dried up river. The amphibian was a diplocaulus before the predator noticed it the group was able to get it into the tank and then sedated the Dimetrodon but it didn't react well to the sedatives as they used reptile tranquilizers but surprisingly the Dimetrodon was not taking the reptile sedatives well at all. It seems at this point in the evolution of mammal like reptiles were more like mammals in terms of internal processes. When the group tried reversal medication to reverse the sedatives the body could not handle it and sadly passed away from its body not being able to handle the process. The group decided to leave the dead Dimetrodon in the past but bring the diplocaulus back so that they would not have to worry about it and the tank. Rexyisdebest surprised that they were back already but was surprised that they were successful in getting a diplocaulus as they were more aquatic than land dwelling animals. Conca and acryallo explained what happened to megalania enthusiast and scarylookinghobo involving the diplocaulus as they were telling them to return the amphibian to the past but after a little bit of explaining that if they did it would die from drying up on land and they could put it in the river and block off a section of it to live in they said if it doesn't work out within a few weeks it will be brought to the Permian again.
Acryallo also brought up the Dimetrodon incident on what happened with it. Scarylookinghobo noted that Dimetrodon is a mammal like reptile and maybe they should use a mixture of mammal and reptile tranquilizers on the Dimetrodon and other mammal like reptiles. They went back and found a cacops a very small land dwelling amphibian despite it being a amphibian like the diplocaulus it was adapted for land living. The group decided not to sedate the cacops as it was small enough to grab with a hand behind the jaws of it. Meanwhile back in the present the job of setting up a area for the diplocaulus was done and it was released into the blocked off stretch of river but boy was the park in for a shock. When the group back in the Permian caught 2 cacops they built out of some rope and sticks a small temporary place to keep them in while they went looking for the other animals. When the others were gone Conca stayed to make sure no predators tried to go after the cacops.
During that time a curious and hungry edaphosaurus wandered into the camp to eat some of the brush in the camp Conca let it eat but when the edaphosaurus saw Conca it hissed at him and tried biting him thinking Conca was a predator. Conca in defense knocked it upside the head knocking it out for now the edaphosaurus. Meanwhile the rest of the capture group went into what was a lush forest and found a secodontosaurus they knew it was a carnivore but decided to catch it anyway when they brought it back to camp they saw the knocked out edaphosaurus and decided to bring what they had to the present. When they brought the cacops and edaphosaurus through no one was really surprised about them but when the secodontosaurus they were surprised that it was not a Dimetrodon.
But when the group went back they decided to only get a Dimetrodon. So they went looking for the Dimetrodon and found one that was looking for food acryallo found it. But when they set up the time portal they had a problem how are they going to get the things attention and through the time portal. But when looking through the environment earlier they found a sad sight a dead diplocaulus so used some rope and tied the dead Diplocaulus at one end of the rope and then threw it near the Dimetrodon and the Dimetrodon went and followed it through the time portal being dragged by acryallo. Meanwhile in the present the diplocaulus was getting situated but little did anyone know that the diplocaulus had eggs it was going to lay. When the keeper d1n0 saw that it was laying eggs he reported it back to the others and they realized that this was a problem as the river led out of the park and out to sea as well. They decided to retrieve the eggs and put them in one of the ponds and then put walls around it so that they could hatch and not get out of the park when they did. But now the Dimetrodon was in the park and was put in a holding pen like the other animals from the Permian except the cacops due to their small size they could walk between the posts so they were put in a special holding pen like the temporary one from the past.
Next time the park suffers it's first big storm and the park goes after the armored shoulder spiked aetosaur from the triassic
