There was a study by Fawcett et al that looked into the Saurosuchus' jaw morphology and suprisingly it had a weaker bite force than we thought which could indicate it preferred the more softer parts of carcasses

After the prologue:
Just a cameraman filming here: and here we see 2 reptiles fighting over territory
Evil pterosaur/quetzalcoatlus:all right! grab yo' popcorn ladies and gentlemen!
Saurosuchus and postosuchus both entered space but the planet's (not earth) gravity pulls them in causing both to fall like burning meteors.but that dosen't effect the evil pterosaur since cells that make up his body and anatomy is replaced with carbon dioxide and methane.
Postosuchus: aye what happend well nvm-
Saurosuchus: take this! *claws on postosuchus's face*
Evil pterosaur(formely quetzalcoatlus: those two still fighting just because saurosuchus replaced postosuchus? aw god when will they stop- hm?
Therizinosaurus vs inostrancevia
Therizinosaurus: you and sarcosuchus both caused destruction and injured gorgo, shuuvia and achelousaurus...now you will pay!
Inostrancevia: calm down female dinosaur,
we can talk about this hmm? whats that in the sky?
Saurosuchus, postosuchus, the cameraman and evil pterosaur(not evil anymore) all hit the water safely.
Postosuchus: ow it burns... no...my mail package
Saurosuchus:*ambush postosuchus from the waters*
Postosuchus: *gets dragged by saurosuchus*
Evil pterosaur: this really needs to stop rn
(how shi depicted sarcosuchus with thorns on it's snout)
Sarcosuchus:ok, inostrancevia is literally getting out of hand since our previous fight- what the? is that...postosuchus!?
Postosuchus:watch out sarco!
Saurosuchus: ok i'm going out of water now*swims as fast as possible to get out of saurosuchus's way*
Saurosuchus:*hits postosuchus into a solid rock*
Postosuchus almost fainted and left his postman hat and bag behind, but he awakens and bites saurosuchus on the front limb then spins rapidly flinging saurosuchus close to the shores. then charges at saurosuchus attempting to bite him once more.
Saurosuchus:agh stop pls! i give up, i give up. i will never wanna see you again...gonna go back to my daily life as a rauisuchian now
Postosuchus: well, fine then... let's hope i should not remember this again... where's my bag, wheres my postmen hat i need to deliver post to triceratops now. oh crap i'm gonna be late!
Evil pterosaur: finally, they stopped fighting-
Cameraman: and then. the dominant male postosuchus once again reclaims his territory-
Evil pterosaur: cameraman!
We open in a lush rainforest, cut to two female eoraptors. Running through a small puddle.
Narrator: “ The reign of the dinosaurs is like a road, It's long, mighty and yet only a few stop to admire it. And like all roads the reign of the dinosaurs must start somewhere. “
The eoraptor sisters look around, seeing a burrow. One of them digs it open revealing some eggs, They gobble them all up. behind the eoraptors some ferns shake and suddenly out bursts a Saurosuchus!
The saurosuchus snaps its jaws, grabbing onto one of them, throwing her to the ground. Before snapping its victim’s neck then It begins to eat the eoraptor, the other female eoraptor runs off. As the saurosuchus feeds we get a closeup of its teeth ripping through flesh.
Narrator:” This colossal carnivore is no dinosaur, It is a crocodilian. They are the rulers of the rainforest. The dinosaurs are their prey, these crocodiles are fast and ferocious on land. “
We see the other female eoraptor running away from the rainforest into a savannah.
Narrator; “ This is an eoraptor, the oldest known dinosaur. She and the rest of her kind are under the tyranny of the crocodiles. “
We see the eoraptor run past a grazing ischigualastia
Narrator: “ They are not welcomed into the rainforest, nor are they welcomed into the savannah home of most of the crocodillian’s prey. “
We see the eoraptor run into a desert and we see some pisanosaurus look at her running.
Narrator: “ This is the home for all evolutionary dead-ends. Even this eoraptor is one of few survivors, Her sister, which was her only surviving family. Has just been eaten by the saurosuchus. “
We see the eoraptor run past a shringasarus skull. She enters a burrow. We cut to a night vision camera inside the burrow.
We see three baby eoraptors in the den walk up to her.
She vomits up some remains of eggs.
Narrator: “ This is the only way they can feed, their teeth aren’t developed enough to hunt themselves. So she chews it for them. “
They begin to feed.
We cut to some ischigualastia gazing in the savannah of ferns.
Narrator; “ The last extinction event on earth wiped out 99% of all life on the planet, these new plants evolving called: ferns have appeared everywhere on the ground. “
We see the ischigualastia chewing on the ferns.
Narrator: “ Their giant beaks are specifically for cutting the thickest of vegetation. Like a giant scissor. “
On the other side of the river we see the saurosuchus looking at them.
Narrator: “ This male saurosuchus, despite having just fed , is considering going after an ischigualastia. “
Cut to the herd walking around
We see the rapid river.
Narrator: “ He can’t cross the river though, ironically this crocodilian is terrible at swimming. “The saurosuchus walks off.
We see the saurosuchus placing the bones of the eoraptor around.
Narrator: “ These bones aren’t crushed, they're left around the territory. As a warning. “
The saurosuchus starts hissing before urinating.
Narrator: “ This territory is ruled by him. “
We see a baby eoraptor walk outside of the burrow following the adult. She lets out a call, suddenly flying down from the sky is a kryptodrakon.
Narrator; “ This is a pterosaur, kryptodrakon to be specific. These animals are the first vertebrates to ever fly. And they have a symbiotic relationship with the eoraptor. “
The kryptodrakon walks towards the eoraptor children, checking up on them, before running off and flying into the air. Above the desert. We get multiple shots of it flying and beating it's wings.
Narrator: “ It's always helpful to have eyes in the sky. “The articodactylus looks down, seeing the corpse of a pisanosaurus. It lets out a call.
Narrator: “ The pterosaurs let out a specific call if it finds food. Only eoraptors understand. “
We see the mother eoraptor running with her babies as the kryptodrakon continues calling
We see the dead ischigualastia; the eoraptors begin to feed on it. Kryptodrakon also begins to eat.
Narrator: “ It's not much, but if she wants to continue finding food. She needs to share with the kryptodrakon. “
We see the ischigualastia herd moving through the rainforest.
Narrator: “ Most ischigualastia prefer the plains of the triassic. But this is a migration to a more lush savannah. “
We see an ischigualastia stray from the herd and then excrete dung.
We pan around, It's surrounded by mountains of other dung from ischigualastia.
Narrator: “ The herd for millions of years has used this migration pattern, they map out specific areas to relieve themselves in. Giant prehistoric bathrooms. “
The ischigualastia leaves as another enters.
We see a cave, the kryptodrakon flies overhead. We see the eoraptors following.
Narrator: “ In her last journey she didn’t have time to get water. Now she needs to come back to the forest. “
We see the eoraptor babies eating the bioluminescent moss growing in the cave.
Narrator: “ Eoraptor's are omnivores, They have evolved to be able to eat whatever they can find. “
They step out into the light. They jump down from a rock to a nearby puddle, they all start drinking. The kryptodrakon flies down and landing he joins them.
Narrator: “ Usually she would be cautious of crocodilians, but she knows the crocs have priorities elsewhere. “
We see the ischigualastia walking through the rainforest. We see some saurosuchus watching them.
Narrator: “ Their biggest hunt all year. “
We see an ischigualastia turn into see the crocodilians it lets out a bellow and runs.
Narrator: “ The conniving carnivores have been spotted “
We see the herd begin to look around, and then run in panic.
Narrator: “ The panic causes a stampede. “
We see two saurosuchus walk through the rainforest.
Narrator: “ Exactly what the saurosuchus want “
We see one ischigualastia limping behind.
Narrator: “ These herbivores haven’t evolved to protect the weak. “
We see the saurosuchus surround the ischigualastia
Narrator: “ She has been abandoned “
The panicked ischigualastia roars, the crocodilians snap at her. One lunges from behind her, biting onto the throat, she tries to struggle free before two more tackle her to the ground.
Narrator: “ One saurosuchus means danger; a gang of saurosuchus is a death sentence. “
We see the saurosuchus begin to feed two snarl at each other for getting too close as others rip chunks of flesh and bone out of the carcass.
We see the eoraptor family walking through the forest and suddenly the ground starts shaking.
Narrator: “ Something disastrous has happened, for the first time in millions of years tectonic plates have collided. “
We see lava explode out of the ground and suddenly a forest fire starts.
Narrator: “ Pangea’s forests are burning. “
We see some saurosuchus look at the approaching flames and run.
We cut to the ischigualastia, crashing through the forest then swimming through a river.
We see the eoraptor family running away from the fire. We see in the sky the kryptodrakon calls to the eoraptors.
Narrator; “ The kryptodrakon has a perspective from the sky, he is mapping out a route for the eoraptor family. “
We see the mother eoraptor nearly run off a cliff before stopping herself at the last second. We see her run out of the forest with two of her children.
Narrator: “ She is mostly alright but one of her children was lost in the fire. “
The ischigualastia continue migrating
We see rainfall in the triassic forest, The fire dies down and the lava hardens.
Narrator: “ As destructive as this can be, It can make the soil more fertile, making more life in the future. “
We see a time-lapse. Ferns growing from the ruins.
We see some pisanosaurus approaching the ferns they begin to feed.
Narrator: “ Nearly all of the larger reptiles have left this rainforest. The dinosaurs begin to inherit it. Their tiny appetite means the development of the small trees will not significantly be damaged by the herbivores. “
We see two pisanosaurus playing, and suddenly a snarl is heard. They all look up to the smoke and see the saurosuchus walk out.
Narrator: “ This saurosuchus was separated from his gang. He is lost and hungry. “
The pisanosaurus flee at the sight of him. The saurosuchus sniffs the air.
We cut to the eoraptor family making their way through the desert. The kryptodrakon is walking with them.
Narrator: “ Pterosaurs like modern birds sometimes need to conserve energy. So this loyal kryptodrakon walks with the eoraptors. “
We see them looking over the coast. An entire flooded desert.
Narrator: “ Yesterday this was their home, where their burrow was dug. The shifting of the plates has covered it up. “
We see the earth from space, we see huge cracks of magma spread across pangea.
Narrator: “ The gravitational center of planet earth is being challenged, as such the once completely tight plates begin to crack. In a few million years the continents will split apart entirely. “
We see the eoraptor family walking through the desert, we see a beached juvenile ichthyosaur.
Narrator: “ They weren’t the only animals the flood displaced. “
We see the eoraptors tuck into the carcass.
Narrator:” Fortunately, the young ichtyosaurus’s bad luck is useful to the dinosaurs. “
The kryptodrakon also feeds on the ichthyosaur.
We see the kryptodrakon flying in the air and suddenly it starts calling. The eoraptors rush to look at what the kryptodrakon is alerting them about below the cliff. They see a savannah, with some pisanosaurus and eoraptors running around as kryptodrakons fly in the air
.
Narrator: “ At last paradise. “
The eoraptor family prepares to get down, suddenly they hear a hissing sound. Suddenly a herrerasaurus approaches them.
Narrator: “herrerasaurus, nearly 2 meters tall. It currently holds the title of the largest predator dinosaur on earth. “
When the herrerasaurus approaches the mother eoraptor, the baby eoraptors huddle behind their mother.
Narrator: “ She’s not interested in the smaller dinosaur. “
The saurosuchus enters.
Narrator: “ She’s interested in a fight. “
The two predators snarl at each other.
Narrator: “ This mother herrerasaurus is establishing her territory, she can’t have a stray saurosuchus endanger her young. “
The saurosuchus snarls.
Narrator: “ And the crocodilian isn’t backing down. “
The eoraptors back away, the herrerasaurus jumps onto the back of the saurosuchus gnawing onto its tail. The saurosuchus screeches in pain.
The eoraptor family runs away before the mother realizes one of her babies is missing. We see one baby eoraptor barely avoiding a herrerasaurus flung towards it. The saurosuchus charges at the trapped baby before the herrerasaurus grabs its throat and starts dragging it around, croc still trying to snap at its throat. The mother eoraptor walks around the fighting, before grabbing her scarred hatchling. She begins climbing up a steep ledge making her way out.
We see the herrerasaurus dragging the saurosuchus towards a steep cliff. The saurosuchus falls up but bites onto the herrerasaurus; the two of them fall to their death.
We see the two bodies from an aerial perspective.
Narrator: “ Something remarkable has just happened, for the first time in the history of evolution a dinosaur has killed an adult crocodilian. “
The eoraptor looks down and runs away. We see kryptodrakon fly over the forest. Pisanosaurus drink and nest in the savannah. We see the baby eoraptors running around playfully as the mother watches sadly.
Narrator: “ They're old enough to defend themselves now. “She hears a call and turns around, it's a male eoraptor.
Narrator: “ Time to start over. “
The herrerasaurus jumps on top of a rock and looks over the savannah and forest.
Narrator: “ The other reptiles have deserted these lands, dinosaurs for the first time. Have dominion over paradise. The reign of the dinosaurs is like a road. This is where that road begins.”
The herrerasaurus calls to the sky as the sun shines, blinding the camera.
Post credit scene
We see the saurosuchus pack walking through the forest. They see a bunch of eoraptors running around. A foot stomps in front of the camera, the crocodilians look in horror. A group of herrerasaurus.
Narrator: “ The larger predatory dinosaurs are now breeding, Now with two families of reptiles vying for the same territories. The earth will become a battleground for dinosaurs and crocodiles. “
The two sides snarl at each other.

Hi guys, This is a series im doing for gojira studios. Let me know what you think of the documentary so far,
Dinosauria, the wonderful clade that have changed us since their discovery, now more alive than ever, we will start from their appearance 228 million years ago, to their extinction 66 million years ago.
Chapter 1: The new life
227 Million years ago a lonely female eoraptor is looking for food, the female sees a corpse of saurosuchus gallilei, but getting there will not be easy, the males are aggressive with other eoraptors at this time, a few million years have passed since the most severe extinction in the history of the planet. A male spots the female and growls at her in warning. The male has the size advantage but the female is faster. the male lunges at the female, bitting her throat, the female uses her hind legs to slice into the male's stomach, the male recoils and is weak from the cuts, the female reacts and quickly flees, the female arrives at the corpse and begins to feed, the female knows that she must take advantage of this corpse, so she eats as much as she can, after a while a huge saurosuchus comes to cannibalize, but sees that the female is an easy prey and imprisons her in his jaws, the female tries to escape from the jaws of the reptile, but it is complicated, the female after severe kicks to the throat of the saurosuchus, manages to escape, the female is bleeding, but must flee, the female is faster than saurosuchus and is more agile so she enters the abandoned burrow of a protomammal, it observe that the protomammal left its abandoned offspring and proceeds to kill them, they are a quick snack. the female gets out again but ths time it had bad luck, a big male killed it for territory

(sorry for close posts I was impatient)
Mine are phytosaurids (they're cool, imo, even though being crocodile imposters #naturepulledoffunfunnyjokesagain), loricatans (ahem saurosuchus and co), rauisuchids (postman postosuchus and buddies) and aetosaurs (armoured nodosaur imposters but pseudosuchia #whywiththesusjokes)
It's Postosuchus's day off and he is watching Walking With Dinosaurs
Narrator: "His life has run full circle, in his time he traveled the globe, but death finds him here, the very same place where he first mated some 40 years ago,*sad music intensifies*."
Postman Postosuchus: No, not Ornithocheirus! *starts crying*
Big Al: Its all in the past, forget about it. Its not like we conveniently happen to have a time van to travel back in time
Postman Postosuchus: Oh yah we have a time van!
Big Al: Why do we have it?
Postman Postosuchus: So the movie can happen. Now fukuiraptoring shut up and get in the van

Mysterious voice: Hello their
Postman Postosuchus: That scared me, who is talking in our radio?
Mysterious voice: I'll tell you that later, I teleported both of you here so you can do my tasks
Big Al: I don't know Postosuchus, he seems kinda sus
Mysterious voice: If you want to rescue the Ornithocheirus(or go back home) listen to me, kill the annoying Baby shark Hybodus

12's 2 cents was fun for me to do, so I decided to do this just because. The 2 contenders for this post as seen above are the legendary crocodile that stroke fear into Australian aboriginals, Quinkana vs the almighty saurosuchian, Saurosuchus.
I wonder how many of these will be made.....
First a look at Quinkana
Quinkana:
size: 9 meters long and possibly 1.5 m tall (unsure)
hunting method: land, chase predation
prey: mammals and other animals of any kind
speed: a very fast animal, likely tired prey out but most likely caught up to prey with ease
teeth: sharp and edged, great for slicing and dicing
Age of appearance: Pleistocene Australia
competitors: Megalania
Now we look at what matters most:
Offensive weaponry:
Sharp teeth, fast speed, claws and strong bite
Defensive weaponry:
Body plates like other crocodilians, speed
Now we look at the opponent
Saurosuchus:
Size: 9 meters long and possibly 1.5 meters tall (unsure)
Hunting method: terrestrial, (chase predation?)
Prey: Dycinodonts and early dinosaurs
Speed: moved at a pace due to its size, fast enough to catch up to some prey
Teeth: sharp and edged, ready to take out the dinosaurs
Competitors: early dinosaurs
Age of Appearance: Triassic Argentina
Offensive weaponry: Teeth, size and bite
Defensive weaponry: body playes like a crocodile
The speculative battle: Quinkana had never seen this place before. It spots an early dinosaur and rushes over. The dinosaur can't fight back in time and gets hunted down. As Quinkana gets ready to dine a guttural roar is heard. Quinkana looks behind itself to see Saurosuchus coming in at a pace. Quinkana charges, it's not letting its kill be taken by this thing! Saurosuchus gets ready to bite but notices that Quinkana wasn't charging head on, but to the side. Quinkana bites the side of Saurosuchus, Saurosuchus lifts itself up to stop Quinkana and the land predator steps back. Quinkana claws at the side of Saurosuchus and a small wound was made. Saurosuchus manages to get a bite on Quinkana and Quinkana tries to get Sauro off. Quintana also has a wound, near its neck instead of the side. Both look at eachother and charge head on, Sauro bites Quinkana in the same area as Quinkana bites and slashes. Once the 2 let ago after more of this combat, Saurosuchus roars once more but Quinkana isn't backing down anytime soon. Saurosuchus sees easier prey from afar and decides to drop the whole thing, easier prey is better than fighting this equally massive carnivore. A small mammal like reptile watches as Saurosuchus slowly leaves and Quinkana goes back to its lunch as if none of this happened.
Verdict: imo Quinkana would probably win 2 out of 3 battles
Things bright up again as Dilophosaurus watches the figure. What was once thought to be a dinosauroid was actually all a mirage. What stepped out of the vortex was a tyrant. A creature who's power exceeded all the power of any carnivorous dinosaur. Tyrannosaurus rex faced Dilophosaurus head on. The T rex didn't look as big when it was exiting the vortex. Perhaps the vortex was distorting the dinosaur's appearance. Tyrannosaurus rex charged, making sure that another predator wasn't alive. Dilophosaurus ran for it, knowing that it wasn't going to win this fight. It ran and hid in tall grass. Because everywhere is tall grass, Tyrannosaurus rex looked left and right, wondering where the Dilo went. The rex assumed that the Dilo had left and that it was king over the area. But something wasn't right. Theropods had died here and yet... their corpses are nowhere to be found. While Tyrannosaurus didn't know this, the Dilo did and it panicked. It is clear that the vortexes probably took their corpses or.. more realistically, the Dilo ended up in a different part of grassland from where the dinosaurs fought. Dilophosaurus ran and the Tyrannosaurus sat and waited for prey. While Dilophosaurus ran, a vortex opened. Dilophosaurus's eyes went open! Saurosuchus stepped out of the vortex, hungry. It ran to the Dilo and clamped down on its leg. Dilophosaurus shrieked in pain. It would run away but it's leg was stuck in the jaws of Saurosuchus. Dilophosaurus was then pinned down and claws at the side. Dilophosaurus was too weak from the spin wheel battle to possibly fight back. Footsteps were heard and Saurosuchus let go. Dilophosaurus looked up to see Tyrannosaurus Rex looming over it. Saurosuchus and Tyrannosaurus rex started to fight as soon as they saw eachother, giving Dilophosaurus a chance to escape. Dilophosaurus ran to nearby tall grasses and watched the fight, relieved that it was now safe because it was much faster than the other 2. Saurosuchus clamped down on the leg of Tyrannosaurus. Tyrannosaurus was bleeding, and as it kicked Saurosuchus back, the shearing teeth did their job. Blood trickled from the leg and now Tyrannosaurus Rex was furious. It clamped down on Saurosuchus's leg and crushed it. Saurosuchus was in extreme pain. Saurosuchus attempted to escape but with its broken leg Tyrannosaurus was able to catch up to it with ease. A vortex opened and the 3 creatures saw through. While in Jurassic The Hunted you couldn't see through the portal and the same went with this cannon, for once they could see. What they saw was another Spinwheel about to start. In this spinwheel, Stegosaurids are about to go toe to toe with Ankylosaurids.
Stay tuned
Hey everyone,I’m taking a little break from Prehistory Profiles to do this.Basically it’s when I talk about the concept for a Dinosaur Documentary if I could make it.I’ll talk about the creatures in question, the Enviornment and how the world changed over the time
Animals
List(Left to Right)
Eoraptor
Eodromaeus
Jachaleria
Herrerasaurus
Silosuchus
Ischigualastia
Saurosuchus
Time:230 Mya
Place:Ischigualasto Formation
Profiles(Based on Appearance in the Episode)
Eodromaeus:Eodromaeus means “Dawn Runner”,makes sense since it was the first theropod. It wasn’t huge, only 1 meter Long and 7 Kilograms, but he will evolve into Powerful predators like Spinosaurus and Tyrannosaurus Rex.But right now,he’s small and agile, perfect for hunting small prey.
Eoraptor:Eoraptor may seem like a Theropod like Eodromaeus but in fact it’s descendants are the mighty Sauropods like Brachiosaurus and Diplodocus.Right now it’s Tiny, barely 1 Meter Long and only 5 Kilograms. These little creatures aren’t Vegetarians just yet, they eat everything from lizards to plants so they are very adaptable.
Herrerasaurus:Herrerasaurus is the first large Carnivore,5 Meters Long and 400 Kilograms, the size of a Bear.On land it’s a deadly predator,it’s fast, strong can claw and bite, however it’s main prey isn’t the tiny Eoraptor or Eodromaeus,it’s prey was a lot bigger
Jachaleria:Jachaleria was a stem-mammal,the link between Reptiles and Mammals, its powerful horns will be used by its descendants like Warthogs. It was as big as a Tiger and could hold its own, however their numbers are declining and Rhynchosaurs will become the dominant Herbivores
Saurosuchus:Saurosuchus was the size of a Crocodile but twice as deadly. It was just as powerful in the water as on land. There are bite marks on Herrerasaurus Skulls showing that they were preyed on by Saurosuchus,so Herrerasaurus wasn’t safe.
Silosuchus and Ischigualastia:Silosuchus was a weird creature,it was gigantic at 7 Meters Long and 1.5 Tons, and its in a weird group of animals called Shuuvusaurs, they look like Sauropodomorphs but are more closely related to Mammals like Ischigualistia, this Hippo Sized animal was very closely related to Jachaleria but weighing 8x as much.
Story
Our episode begins with an overview of the world 230 Million Years Ago,and its very different, for starters there is the fact that there is only one continent we call Pangea,Pangea was mostly an arid desert wasteland, but the place our story starts in couldn’t be more different. There is a noise in the underbrush,a small,long-legged animal comes out,put Main Lead Eodromaeus. He is seen Stalking his prey, the tiny Eoraptor. The hunt begins,Eoraptor runs, but Eodromaeus is catching up,each of them were fast and agile, running faster than most humans with a top speed of 25 Miles an Hour. The Eoraptor is cornered and the Eodromaeus leaps in for the kill and bites down on the Eoraptor’s neck.Eodromaeus then hears a screeching Cry in the distance and it turns out to be Herrerasaurus. Our little friend the Eodromaeus quickly dashes away, but the Herrerasaurus barely takes notice,he’s out for prey, much bigger prey. After a few minutes he finds a Jachaleria Herd, but he needs to be careful, the element of surprise is key to getting a successful kill.Jachaleria have horns that can gouge Herrerasaurus. The Herrerasaurus carefully stalks while masking his scent with the smell of ferns.Jachaleria doesn’t have amazing vision but their sense of smell is superb(Speculation). They also have friends to help them,Eoraptors.Eoraptor had superb vision(Speculation) and they could see a predator, the Eoraptors would make a call and the Jachaleria would form a defensive circle, and with that, the Herrerasaurus would be toast.Herrerasaurus was really close, but then a single wrong move cost the entire hunt,Herrerasaurus steps on a twig, this alerts the Eoraptors which make a loud call. The Herrerasaurus doesn’t even try,he knows the hunt failed. The Herrerasaurus decides to just scavenge,he fins a Silosuchus Carcass and feasts on it,however he doesn’t realize that something is about to attack him,Saurosuchus.A Saurosuchus scares of the Herrerasaurus and finishes his carcass.Skip a few months and it’s mating season for the Eodromaeus and our male is looking for a Female, he has to get a mate, meanwhile a Saurosuchus is trying to survive in these times, along with that comes Eoraptors having to hide from Herrerasaurus on the hunt, and in all of this Stem Mammals are in an arms race with Archosaurs to survive and evolve.

Episode 2:African Hunters up Tomorrow
So you wanted to get pinged @Savage Almond So boom there you go.
Imagine you could travel back in time. To a time long before man. During your journey you would notice drastic changes in your surrounding. Plants around you would be much diffirent, so would be the landscape. Soon you would reach a remarkable period in time. The late cretaceus, roughly 66 millions of years ago. Back then there were no Himalayas and India was a subcontinent. The Himalayas would start forming 15 millions of years later, when India collided with Asia.
Then there's a shot of a dead Titanosaurus, 2 Indosucheses are feeding from the carcass.
Those 2, predators belong to the species Indosuchus. The Titanosaurus they're feeding from died cause of natural causes. Most of the time, the Indosuchus hunt to keep their stomachs full, but like all predators they scavenge from time to time.
A Rajasaurus walks into the scene and roars at the pair of smaller carnivores.
This carnivore is a Rajasaurus. It's a close relative of the Indosuchus. This young male is really hungry and he's ready to fight for the carcass. However the 2 Indosucheses are full and they don't feel like eating anymore. So they walk away cause there's no reason to fight.
The 2 Indosucheses walk away and the male Rajasaurus starts eating the carcass.
But in this programme, we're going to travel even further back in time. And to diffirent places as well. To the Jurassic period. There were only 2 continents at the time, Laurasia and Gondwana. In this period a group of small carnivorous dinosaurs took flight and they became birds. We're currently in Tanzania, 145 millions of years in the past. To give you an idea of how long dinosaurs ruled the Earth, the time gap between late jurassic dinosaurs and Rajasaurus is bigger than the time gap between Rajasaurus and humans.
The camera shows a nest of a Dysalotosaurus.
This small herbivore is a female Dysalotosaurus. They're good parents. Her children hatched a few days ago. Only 4 are still alive. Her mate is also dead, but she's not giving up. She'll protect her children, even if it'll cost her life.
A juvenille Veterupristisaurus enters the scene.
This youngster is a Veterupristisaurus and it's hungry.
The female Dysalotosaurus is panicked. The carnivore is way larger than her and she can't fight it. She desperately tries to scare the predator off.
The young predator isn't scared of the herbivore. While the mother will be able to escape, her children won't be able to keep up.
The carnivore stops and it hesitates to get any closer, because a lone Girafatitan entered the scene.
This behemoth is a Girafatitan. It's the biggest animal in this ecosystem. It's too big to be threatened.
The sauropod roars right in the carnivores face and the predator runs away.
Its sheer size is enough to scare any predator away.
The sauropod starts eating from a tree and the Dysalotosaurus calms down. As the sauropod is eating, some branches fall to the ground. The much smaller herbivore grabs them and starts feeding her children.
However our journey back in time doesn't stop here. We're going to travel back to a time where dinosaurs didn't rule the Earth quite yet. The triassic period, Argentina, 231 millions of years ago.
The ancestors of the winners
The wet season started a few weeks ago and this place is filled with life.
We get a few shots of the enviroment, then a bunch of Eoraptors show up.
As the Eoraptors are walking around the narrator says:
These small animals are Eoraptors. Their name means dawn thief, they're among the first dinosaurs to ever walk the Earth. They're omnivorous, they eat anything they can get their teeth on. Insects, carrion, early mammals, lizards and plants are all parts of their diet.
The Eoraptors walk to a river where they take a drink. On the other side of the river a herd of Pisanosauruses are drinking too.
Pisanosauruses are herbivores. The older ones walk on all fours and only stand on their hind legs while running, the front limbs of the younger ones are smaller and they walk bipedally. Pisanosauruses were once thought to be the first ornitishian dinosaurs but they weren't dinosaurs at all. They were however, close relatives.
One of the Eoraptors catches a scent of a nearby carcass and he informs his group with a chirp.
The leader of the group, caught a scent of a nearby carcass. Some members of the group are pretty hungry, so they decide to go and find it.
The Eoraptors swim towards the other side of the river and the Pisanosauruses run away.
Even though the Eoraptors are not a threat, because the only Animals they eat are smaller than them, the Pisanosauruses decided to run away. They're really shy animals. You can never be too cautious.
After some time of searching for the said carcass the Eoraptors find it. It isn't really fresh and it's rotten. Insects are consuming it. One of the members of the groups catches some insects, while the other one sniffs the carcass and moves its head away in disgust.
The carcass doesn't smell too well and the Eoraptors decided not to eat it. Instead they're trying to catch the insects that were eating it, while the leader remains cautious.
The camera zooms out and we see the foot of a much larger creature, then the camera shows what the creature looks like
This theme plays as the carnivore is getting closer
The leader doesn't see the incoming threat, the larger predator is inching towards the Eoraptors. The carnivore's pattern helps him to blend in with its surroundings.
The large predator is getting closer and closer.
Suddenly the wind changes its direction, and the leader catches the scent of the predator. He turns around to see the beast running towards him. He screams loudly to warn the members of his pack and they all run as fast as they can.
(1:22 -
The Eoraptors are running for their lives, but the predator is just slightly faster than them. There's a shot of the packs leader running, and the predator's shadow is right behind him. The shadow gets closer and closer and then the predator grabs the leader with its arms, it picks him up and bites him in the head. The Eoraptor still tries to get away, moving his legs and arms around like crazy and he slowly stops moving. His body falls to the ground but with his head missing.
- 1:47)
If only the leader would have spotted the predator earlier he and his pack would get away easily. For this he paid the price.
We get a good look on the predator as it starts eating its catch.
This large beast is a Herrerasaurus. It's 4 meters long and weights roughly 200 kilograms. While this might not sound impresive, it's one of the largest carnivorous dinosaurs on the planet. This particular one is a female. Her jaws are filled with sharp teeth and she has long arms armed with sharp claws.
After it eats the whole Eoraptor, she tries to find the other members of his pack, cause she's not quite full yet, but they're already gone. The Herrerasaurus goes back to her nest, but when she gets there she finds out that she has some visitors.
Ischigualastia, an enourmous dicynodont. It has a short, high skull and unlike its more popular relative Placerias, it doesn't have any tusks. This herbivore is a huge beast. It can reach up to 3.5 meters in lenght and weight up to 2 tonnes. They use their strong legs to dig up food.
We get a few shots of the herbivores digging up and eating some roots.
These herbivores came here to escape the dry season. When the wet season in this place will end, they'll return to their homes. But these giants aren't the only visitors.
These much smaller creatures followed the Ischigualastia herd on their migration. Aetosauroides, which is their name are small, armoured herbivores. They're bizzare. The front of their jaws is completely toothless and they have some teeth in the back. Their armor protects them from most attacks. Just like Ischigualastias they love eating roots, but they dig them up using their weird looking snouts, although some of them are lazy and they eat the leftovers that Ischigualastias left behind.
We then get a shot of the female Herrerasaurus watching the herbivores.
This is her first time in her life seeing those herbivores.
The Herrerasaurus then runs to her nest to see if everything is alright with her eggs. Luckily nothing happened.
However there's one more visitor, and this one isn't friendly.
The largest predator currently on the planet. Saurosuchus. During their migration, he followed the Ischigualastia herd, killing and eating the weak. He now caught the scent of another predator.
The Saurosuchus walks through the herd of the herbivores. The herbivores are scared of the the predator and they move out of his way. Then the Saurosuchus spots the Herrerasaurus and runs up to her.
The female Herrerasaurus tries to intimidate the larger predator by roaring as loud as she can. However the Saurosuchus isn't impressed.
The Saurosuchus leaps at the Herrerasaurus, bites down on her neck and slowly chokes her out.
This wasn't done for food. It was to get rid off the competition.
A few months pass and we're back at the river to look at some crocs.
These crocodile looking reptiles are called Proterochampsa. They're one of the most primitive phytosaurs. They're not as big as their descendants would get.
There's a few shots of them hunting and eating fish.
However they're staying in the water not only to hunt. Animals are getting bulied by the hot temperature and lots of them are staying near the water to keep themselves cooler.
The Ischigualastia herd is now at the river. Some of them go into the water to cool themselves. Knowing that the Proterochampsas won't attack them when their near the giant herbivores, the Pisanosauruses go into the water as well.
The Animals know what this sign means. The wet season is about to end. But they're still enjoying it while it lasts.
Some Ischigualastia are digging up roots to eat them, the Eoraptor pack appears again and they eat the leftovers that Ischigualastias leave behind.
The Eoraptors have a new leader. Hovewer his leadership won't last much longer cause during the dry season the Eoraptors won't be able to find enough food to keep them all well fed, therefore they will have to survive on their own.
Another period of time passes and the Ischigualastias leave. They're followed by the Pisanosauruses and Aetosauroideses, one of the armoured herbivores however is injured and he can't keep up with his friends. He is forced to stay behind.
Another period of time passes cause yes. As we get a few shots of the landscape the narrator says:
In a span of a month, this place became unrecognisable. It used to be a paradise, but now, it's a wasteland. But some animals can still be seen here and there.
The injured Aetosauroideses shows up. He sniffs the ground and starts digging.
His nose is a reliable survival tool. Just a meter below him is an underground water source. He uses his snout to dig through the sand.
The Aetosauroideses is digging and digging and a bunch of Eoraptors show up.
Lured by the scent of the water, the thirsty Eoraptors observe the herbivore's shenanigans.
(sorry I had to)
Suddenly, the herbivore stops digging. He sniffs the place where he was digging and then stomps there as hard as he can. Then the water starts flowing to the surface. The Aetosauroideses starts drinking it almost instantly. The Eoraptors start coming closer but the Aetosauroideses roars at them to stay away.
It's his turn now. The dinosaurs can wait. The Eoraptors start squeaking at the herbivore as a sign of protest. But he ignores them.
One of the Eoraptors starts getting closer.
But for this young female, a single warning is not enough.
The female Eoraptor tries to take a sip, but the herbivore bites her and kills her with a stomp to the skull. The Aetosauroideses roars at the Eoraptors again. The Eoraptors back away.
It's his turn.
The Aetosauroideses stops drinking and walks away slowly. Once he's far enough the Eoraptors run up to the water source and start drinking, some of them start fighting for the water, while some eat the body of the female that got killed. The ones that drank enough water go on their separate ways. But the rest is scared away by the approaching Saurosuchus, who (another joke I couldn't stop myself from doing) is like a walking boombox, as wherever he goes "Death of the Postosuchus" is playing at full volume. The Saurosuchus swallows the carcass of the female Eoraptor whole and then takes a sip of the water. Another detail is that the Saurosuchus is injured
The Saurosuchus is struggling to stay alive during the dry season. While pursuing an Eoraptor he broke his leg.
We then follow one of the Eoraptors who's following the Aetosauroideses.
It looks like the herbivore will have to deal with his new companion from now on. Hovewer there are benefis for both sides in this relation. The Eoraptor will look around in search of any threats and warn the herbivore in case of any danger, he can also help the Aetosauroideses find some food, in exchange when the Aetosauroideses digs up some roots or finds some water the Eoraptor will be allowed to eat or drink with the herbivore. Hovewer the Aetosauroideses doesn't like this idea yet. He roars at the dinosaur to scare him off, but the Eoraptor keeps following him.
Suddenly the Eoraptor shrieks, cause a Herrerasaurus appears from behind a hill.
(0:00 -
The Aetosauroideses sees the carnivore that was trying to sneak up on it a few seconds ago. It roars at the carnivore and challenges it to a fight.
The Aetosauroides is a worthy game for any predator.
The 2 creatures stand in front of eachother JWE style. The carnivore is looking for any weaknesses he could exploit, while the herbivore tries to intimidate his opponent. We take a look at the Herrerasaurus.
The carnivore's jaws can deal serious damage, his hands are armed with sharp claws. If feel placed, any hits taken could be fatal.
Then a look at the Aetosauroides.
The herbivore's armor can protect him from most assaults. Meaning that the carnivore will have to waste a lot of strenght to succesfully bring it down. His limbs are quite strong and if it's dedicated enough it could even bite the attacker.
- 1:27)
While the herbivore would keep the Herrerasaurus well fed for quite a long time the predator most likely wouldn't have a lot of time left after the clash with the herbivore. It's better to not risk it.
The Herrerasaurus walks towards that underground water source the Aetosauroides dug up.
If not for the Eoraptor, this confrontation could have gone much diffirent. Now the Aetosauroides doesn't mind the presence of the small dinosaur.
We then follow the Herrerasaurus.
This individual is a male and males are larger than females, as they can grow up to 5 meters in lenght and weight up to 250 kilograms. Their pattern is red-ish in color.
When it walks up to the water source it finds the Saurosuchus sleeping a few meters from it. The Herrerasaurus slowly and cautiously approaches the small paddle of water and takes a drink.
A confrontation with the Saurosuchus could've been fatal in consequences. However the Saurosuchus wakes up.
(0:00-
The land croc roars at the Intruder who slowly backs away. However the Herrerasaurus noticed the Saurosuchus' injury.
Normally the Herrerasaurus wouldn't even try to fight but the Saurosuchus is injured. His broken leg severaly lowers his mobility. Just like the Saurosuchus the Herrerasaurus is desparate. Both creatures just want to eat something.
The Herrerasaurus leaps at the camera and we hear the screams of the battling predators. W night passes and we get to see what happened.
- 0:45)
The camera shows the severed arm of the Herrerasaurus but then it shows the dead body of the Saurosuchus.
The theme resumes at 1:35
The male Herrerasaurus, now without his left arm goes to look for some water as the previous water source dried up. As soon as he leaves a bunch of Eoraptors show up and they start scavenging the Saurosuchus carcass. The Herrerasaurus got his "revenge".
Ultimately it was the Saurosuchus who lost.
As the theme ends we have a shot of all the Eoraptors scavenging the carcass, some are battling over it and stuff, and the camera zooms out of the scene. Another big portion of time passes.
Now it's the middle of the Eoraptor mating season. Male Eoraptors are now much more active.
That one Eoraptor who's buddies with the Aetosauroides stumbles upon a female Eoraptor. The Aetosauroideses is just chilling and digging up some roots. As a gift for the female Eoraptor he takes a root from his armoured buddy and gives to the female do that she can eat it. The female eats it and the male starts doing the mating dance.
Impressing the female is quite a difficult task.
The male starts hopping from side to side and after a while the female joins in. He than stands on a single leg and raises his neck and tail. He has to keep his balance or else his chances of impressing the female will drop to 0. The whole process gets repeated a few times. Then the final part of the mating ritual, the chase. The female starts running away and the male has to catch her to complete the ritual, and he does. So then they uhh they do the uhh, the Aetosauroides is digging roots in the background and all that's going through his mind is c o n s u m e.
The pair of the Eoraptors start preparing a nest. Soon the female will lay eggs and by the time they'll hatch it'll be the wet season again.
During one particular nightthe Eoraptors get woken up by a sound of a thunder. It's this day. It starts raining. And this theme starts too:
The Eoraptors now officialy survived the dry season. An intense rain started. The water level in what used to be a river starts rising. Fish that survived by borrowing themselves under the sand in a fleshy sac start swimming again. The few surviving Proterochampsas rush towards the water. The plants slowly start to grow. The sun rises and it's still raining. It's a new dawn.
The Aetosauroideses that git left behind reunites with his herd. The Ischigualastias are back. The male Herrerasaurus is the new ruler of these lands. Then we get a look on the Eoraptor nest. The female is sitting on the nest to keep her future children warm. The male comes back to the jest with his old pack reunited, now that there's polenty of food to keep them all well fed. He brings a few lizards to the female. Suddenly she gets up. The eggs starts to hatch. The family got bigger.
The Ischigualastias seem to be a little freaked out by the new guests.
The dinosaurs got bigger. The Riojasauruses are huge. They dwarf the Ischigualastias.
The Riojasaurus herd gets to the river and they all take a sip. One of them raises his head and roars. The age of dinosaurs has dawned. Soon the dinosaurs will Takeover.
We get a shot of a Dilophosaurus roaring and the episode ends.
