The first and most complete dinosaur skeleton from Scotland has been found in the Isle of Skye, dating back to around 166 million years ago during the Middle Jurassic. Data suggests that it might be an ornithopod, and if it does turn out to be one, then it could represent the world's oldest body fossil of the clade.

Gastornithid trackways have been found in the Chuckanut Formation of Washington state, consisting of three adult tracks and two chick tracks. They further support the interpretation that Gastornis was a herbivore because the footprints preserve broad triangular toenails rather than talons.
