Now, as the dust blows over the British Isles, close to the Jurassic extinction, around 145 million years ago. An Iguanodon bernissartensis [3] is being chased by a Baryonyx walkeri [1]. The Baryonyx snaps its jaws and growls at the Iguanodon. The Iguanodon turns around and rears up, bellowing at the fish-eater. The Baryonyx lets out a snarly hiss, not one to back down.
Out of the tree-line only a few feet away, a massive Megalosaurus bucklandii [2] emerges and bites at the Iguanodon, pulling it down by the neck, disturbing the Baryonyx. The Megalosaurus begins tearing at the ribs to eat the flesh, but the Baryonyx nips at the Megalosaurus to scare it away, but the Megalosaurus responds by roaring at the Baryonyx with it's bloodied jaws.
The Baryonyx retaliates by biting the Megalosaur's snout, pulling it off the kill. The Megalosaurus gets up, and the two begin to circle each other. The Megalosaurus struck first, lunging for the Baryonyx's arm, biting it and breaking it. The Baryonyx snarls in pain before bumping the Megalosaurus away.
The Megalosaurus bites the Baryonyx's neck, and thrusts it down. The Baryonyx regains balance and nips at the Megalosaurus. The Baryonyx headbutts the Megalosaurus into a tree, before biting its neck and thrusting it through a small tree. On the ground, the Megalosaurus kicks absent-mindedly and violently, accidentally kicking the Baryonyx in the head.
As the Megalosaurus gets up, the Baryonyx regains their thoughts and rears up (as in the stand momentarily like a kaiju) to put their arms on the Megalosaur's head, pushing it down and biting its neck. As the Megalosaurus struggles, the Baryonyx holds their grasp, slowly suffocating the Megalosaurus. As a loud crunch is heard, the Megalosaurus falls limp.
The Baryonyx stands tall, snarling in triumph.
BARYONYX WALKERI WINS!

That's right! On this day, 200 years ago, Megalosaurus was officially named as a genus, technically being the first dinosaur named, making it also the 200th anniversary of dinosauria!
Me and a few unnamed(mwuwuahahahha) staff members have decided to celebrate this day, and you guys should too!
Here's a cool little image thingy I made for this(it features important figures in paleontology history and a few of my favorites :3):
Also, if y'all heard me talking about "## of days left", I was referring to today!
Anyway, you guys should be prepared for when @ScaryLookinHobo adds the special happy birthday banner to the main page. It's a treat that you guys would NOT want to miss!
I'll end this message with the choice if you guys want to force the staff to add this moment to the History Wall(since it would be cool if we say that we celebrated Megalo and all of Dinosauria's 200th anniversary) or something ig
Good day and see y'all later today(also please make sure to say happy birthday in the comments. he'll be sad if you don't.)!
Everyone else is posting their top 5 favorite dinosaurs because some broken jaw bone was named 200 years ago. So, I will, too.
My list is always changing. And besides, I love all Animalia, because animals are all cool.
5. Protoceratops
It was really difficult to figure which dinosaurs were really by favorites (I ♥ them all, but some still pop). Some dinosaurs I considered were Yi, Gigantspinosaurus, Saurophaganax, Nigersaurus, and Corythoraptor.
For #5 I picked this hardy desert herbivore from the Cenomanian. It was dog sized, but it had a powerful beak for fighting Velociraptor. The Fighting Dinosaurs specimen makes it even cooler.
4. Guanlong
This tyrannosaur (tyrannosauroid for the picky ones) has a name and crest that pop. Guanlong lived in China around 160,000,000 B.C. I know Yangchuanosaurus was the apex predator of the region, but I don't care. This little fellow ate little ceratopsians like Yinlong.
3. Turanoceratops
This little ceratopsian was only about 380 lbs, but it's still awesome. It lived in the deserts and estuaries of Turonian Uzbekistan. The giant raptor Ulughbegsaurus lived with it in the Bissekty Formation, but sadly this little pony ceratopsian couldn't really fight it.
2. Timurlengia
Y'all probably already know my top 2. Timurlengia was the primary predator of my last dinosaur, Turanoceratops. It too lived in the Bissekty Formation. It was a little tyrannosaur that was only like 600 lbs at most, but it's still my love. It was slimmer and faster than the big T. rex that you've never heard of.
1. Baryonyx
Yeah. Baryonyx walkeri is just awesome. Cool name, cool size, cool claws, cool snout. This species is more well known than larger spinosaurs like Spinosaurus, so it's skeleton is used often to help determine what those other spinosaurs were like. Baryonyx was 30 feet long, but the specimen may be a juvenile, so adults could maybe reach Suchomimus sizes. This guy should've been in Walking With Dinosaurs: Giants of the Sky instead of Utahraptor (which isn't from Europe).
Wow I usually don't post this often, ever.
But here we are, this time with art! Since it's Megalosaurus's 200th birthday, I brought my Mattel model into art class today. We were drawing still lifes, and I decided to bring Megalo. Also brought Iguanodon, as that guy's also new in my collection and British. Set them up in a similar way to how old art featuring them did.
We're back for part 2. Last time, AI tried to recreate dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures with a single-word prompt of the creature's name.
I'll rank the creatures on a scale of 1 to 10. Let's go!

Mild gore in this I think. locc if necessary
"A drake? This far inland?" I asked the scouts.
"Yes," replied Rami, the tallest one. "A drake. Scales. Two massive legs. Larger than any dire beasts or cockatrices we've ever seen."
I breathed in and out, trying to process the information. Drakes were dangerous. With multiple types, they are diverse and deadly creatures. Kings of their lands, even the strongest warrior would not be able to face a drake head on.
"What kind? Traits?"
"Grey and green scales(Author note: Based on the 6th image here). Medium sized arms. Large head. We think it's a Great Drake."
"Organize the Beast Slayers. We have something to get rid of. Permanently."
____________________
Heading through the underbrush wasn't as hard as locating the drake. Who knew that a giant scaled beast was so stealthy? I glanced around and looked at the other 6 warriors. I signaled to them to come closer as I pointed at something.
A drake footprint.
"We have found a lead. Let's go!"
I started walking as the others followed behind me. Leon moved up next to me.
"Boss, are you sure this is a good idea? Drakes are able to wipe out whole platoons."
"If they're facing them head on," I reply. "Since we're going to ambush it, we have the ability for free damage."
He looked like he was about to respond, but from the trees emerged a phoenix. The phoenix pounced on one of the men and ripped off his back plate before digging into his spine with its claws. The creature's red head was stained with blood as it tore skin and muscle off. (Author note: Based on this)
Leon and I grabbed our swords and prepared to charge as it sniffed the air and ran away, leaving one half dead member. I turned to see where the others were to bloodshed.
One was snapped in two, intestines flaring out. Another stabbed through the chest by a misplaced sword. One thrown to the ground and a ripped off arm. The last not having a head as it was swallowed by the great drake.
It turned and faced me and Leon. I turned to him and nodded. We were going to have a last stand against this creature that effortlessly wiped out the platoon. I ran towards it.

Im gonna leave this short by saying that Dinopedian cheeseburgerrs and stalk files are canceled.
Why?
Because im getting a life and not making dumbshit and making dinopedian cheeseburgerrs is a giant shitpost which made other series makers get ignored and stalk files bc its not fun to make.
And also quitting making series.
