The Monkey Raptor (Simiasaurus Arborealis) is a tropical maniraptoran (probably a deinonychosaur) that spends most of its live in trees and mostly eats insects and small vertebrates. It has may adaptations for this lifestyle, such as:
Hands that can fully pronate and have opposable thumbs
Long arms for reaching branches
A long, prehensile tail
Claws meant for climbing
Large eyes with great depth perception
A long tongue for grabbing bugs
Although they have many similarities to monkeys, they are not as intelligent, being closer in intelligence to your average bird.
They are smaller than most of their Dromaeosaurid relatives, but this is because they need to be able to swing around on small branches and vines without breaking them.
They have a long sticky tongue that they use to catch bugs. They also sometimes use their claws to remove bark and make holes in trees so they can get the bugs inside with their tongue (kind of like a between of an Aye-Aye and a Woodpecker).
