Lessemsaurus

Ok, so yall have seen those what animals are those supposed to be, where I pull out an image of a spec dinosaur and I try and guess what group they belong to, and then you the comments can also try and guess and also look into how inaccurate they are, and list off the inaccuracies. (Btw before we begin the art is made by FreddyFan95 on Deviant so credit to them)

Ok the first creature I am gonna guess it is Lessemsaurid, and the sharp teeth, though it could also be a quadrupedal Carcharodontosaurid, but it has too many fingers. But I do have a remade version that's uncolored this is way more proportionate.

For the 2nd image ima guess Dilophosaurid, because of the sharp teeth and crest which is a well known in all dilophosaurids, though maybe a carnivorous hadrosaur also?

For this 3rd maybe a relative to Guanlong... or is Guanlong even though it says its a separate "genus".

We pan over a desolate desert, with a footprint in the ground. As we do a 270-degree turn, we see a Lessemsaurus herd walking to an oasis. We head closer to the front, and spy the bull Lessemsaurus, leading the herd. “One of the largest creatures to live on the Triassic landscape, not oceanscape, we’ll see that soon though, Lessemsaurus is also one of the earliest sauropods, with only one known specimen.” says the narrator, as we head closer to see their bulk and majesty.

A Zupayosaurus runs through the legs of the Lessem herd, and bumps into the camera, recoils, and gets kicked by a Lessem for being in its way. It runs out of the herd quickly.

“Here, the predator stalks its unwary prey” as we see an Eoraptor hunting a beetle. It strikes, catching the beetle in its jaws, as a Herrerasaurus snatches the Eoraptor, when a Fasolasuchus bites down on the Herrerasaurus’s neck. The Herrerasaurus lets go of the Eoraptor in shock, while the Fasolasuchus drags it and slams it to the ground. The Eoraptor is in a state of shock and panic, but before it can run away the Fasolasuchus grabs it by the tail and swallows it whole, as it’s much easier to get a free meal than having to fight for one. The Herrerasaurus snarls, then runs away, as it doesn’t want to fight right now. The Fasolasuchus grunts, and stares at the camera, and charges, knocking down the camera in the process.

“In the Triassic seas, there may be creatures that look like turtles, such as this Henodus, however it is a placodont, an extinct type of marine reptile” the Henodus swims to a nearby plateau that holds a coral reef, as a Shonisaurus swims nearby and grabs a squid. “Shonisaurus, the largest reptile to have taken to water. It is a carnivore, however, only eats small creatures such as squids and fish. It is unknown if anything we know of so far can take down this creatures, however there has been a hypothesis that states there was a, and I quote, ‘Triassic Kraken’. Basically a big, big squid that hunted these behemoths, like Sperm Whales and Giant Squid today” the Shonisaurus swims nearby and heads to the surface.

Back at the forest with the Lessemasaurs, the bull has started to munch on some leaves, however he spies a challenger, with their own herd, wanting the feeding grounds. “Riojasaurus. A large prosauropod who lives in the same region, however, it is smaller in size, but not so much in fight”. The Riojasaurus bull bellows and runs at the bull Lessemasaurus, who charges and slams it down to the ground and stomps on its tail, inflicting great pain. The bull Riojasaurus gets up and bellows, before running away.

Life, it arose on earth once and produced some of the most magnificent creatures to exists including humans, but the most majestic of them all lived millions of years ago during the Mesozoic era. Back then the world was a different place, North and South America were still separate and the Himalayas hadn't been formed yet. This is the Cretaceous period, a world dominated by a group of reptiles we'll be looking at here on Mesozoic Planet, the Dinosaurs.

We see a Triceratops coming out of the foliage

During the Cretaceous Dinosaurs became the largest

An Andesaurus eats from the trees

A Timurlengia shows a dominance display to another one

And fiercest of all land animals

A Tyrannosaurus makes a roar like sound

But they weren't the only ones to rule the world, giant Pterosaurs flew the sky

An Azhdarcho flies by

And Marine Reptiles terrified the oceans

A Tylosaurus swims by

But we'll also go back further, to the Jurassic period. The time of the most majestic of all Dinosaurs

But first we'll be going back even further to the Triassic Period, Dinosaurs aren't yet the dominant creatures, they're still small and the top predators are relatives of more Crocodilians, this is the Dinosaur's humble beginnings

"Mesozoic Planet"

Argentina, 216 million years ago. We're in the late Cretaceous, this is when early Dinosaurs started appearing

We see a Powellvenator run to a watering hole

This is a Powellvenator, he's a relative of the more popular Coelophysis from North America. He has come here to have a sip of water, the dry season is on its way so every animal is preparing for the dry season. The Powellvenator looks behind and runs, we then see a haram of Riojasaurus come for some water

These strange looking animals are Riojasaurus, they are distant relatives of the ancestor of the Sauropods, they too are getting ready for the dry season. This haram is lead by a young male, he has overthrown the previous leader only a few months ago. A Riojasuchus runs beneath

A Riojasuchus, too small to do any harm to the giants they let it be. This little fellow is looking for food, he has found a fish. The Riojasuchus catches the fish and goes under the trees to eat it and then a Zupaysaurus appears

Zupaysaurus, a fearsome predator. The Riojasuchus gets scared. The Zupaysaurus has no interest, he has recently eaten. Zupaysaurus then walks away. Back at the watering hole a heard of Jachaleria arrive.

Jachaleria, although they seem like reptiles they are actually Synapsids a group closer to us humans. They are herbivores but don't let that fool you, their tusks can be a formidable weapon.

We go back to the Riojasaurus. The Riojasaurus are playing in the water, as the wet season is coming ending it starts to get hotter so many animals cool themselves in the water. Two young Riojasaurus are playing around the young male. These are the younglings of this male, when they are young they are very playful but still stay near the group.

Another male Riojasaurus arrives. A rival male, when the males of the haram grow up they leave and find a different haram and try to take charge. The young male gets up. But they usually won't go without a fight. Neither will risk an injury so instead they push each other and occasionally growl at each other. The young male pushes the other male too the ground and he leaves. The young male wins this one, he remains the head of the haram.

We than see a Powellvenator. This Powellvenator is looking for food, he has found a tree. The Powellvenator breaks off a piece of bark and finds a beetle. He has found a beetle, but it's too small to fill his apatite, he must continue searching for food.

It's now a few months later and the dry season started. The beginning of the dry season has arrived, the animals try cool down. We see the Riojasuchus resting under a tree along with a Riojasaurus. another animal trying to cool down are these Lessemsaurus

A 12 ton giant, they are one of the largest Dinosaurs around and a relative of Riojasaurus, but unlike Riojasaurus these are true Sauropods. The Lessemsaurus sit under some shade.

Few weeks pass. It's now the middle of the dry season and the heat is getting more powerful. The heat has its victims like this Jachaleria who died of heat stroke and exhaustion, it's been rotting for a few days, most predators wouldn't want to eat it. And then out of nowhere a Fasolasuchus arrives

Fasolasuchus, the apex predator of this environment, a deadly ambush predator. The Riojasaurus escape as fast as they can but the Lessemsaurus are slower. The Fasolasuchus gets to the Lessemsaurus and grabs the slowest, the Lessemsaurus screams in pain. The Fasolasuchus then brings it down and suffocates it. In this harsh environment if you can't keep up with the others you're doomed. The Fasolasuchus then proceeds to eat the Lessemsaurus.

It's been a few weeks, the Riojasaurus have little water left. Meanwhile a gang of Zupaysaurus arrives and the young male stands up and scares them away. It's too risky for them to attack a healthy adult.

The end of the dry season is soon coming to and end and the climate is starting to cool down. The Fasolasuchus is resting and then another Fasolasuchus comes. Another Fasolasuchus, he's trying to get hold of the female's territory. They start pushing each other and eventually the female falls off a small ledge. The female has received an injury, in the animal kingdom this means death. She is forced to leave her territory. Later we zoom towards the dead body of Fasolasuchus. Her injuries have killed her, the harsh environments can even take down an apex predator. The Zupaysaurus are thrilled, this will last them to the end of the dry season

A rainstorm happens on night. The wet season has arrived and the water is back. The young male survived, unfortunately, one of his kin has perished to the heat. But the females have laid eggs, soon more Riojasaurus will hatch from these and the species population increases.

End credits roll

The Triassic was a time recovering from a mass extinction, but 15 million years later another mass extinction hits wiping off most of the Archosaurs, but the Dinosaurs luckily survived and soon they filled in the niches left behind and conquered every continent, including Antarctica. Next time, we'll be going to prehistoric Antarctica to see how the dinosaurs evolved, and produced an apex predator

Imagine if you could Travel back in Time,to a time long before man.In your journey you will notice drastic changes in your surrounding.Plants will change around you and so will the landscape.Right now we are at an amazing period of time known as the late Cretaceous,this is Madagascar 66 Million Years Ago.

We see a mom and Dad Majungasaurus and bab Walking Sausages.

This is Majungasaurus,an 8 meter long carnivore,it’s the top Predator of the area.Right now it’s eating the Titanosaur Rapetosaurus.

We see a few Masiakasaurus get close to the carcass before Moma Majungasaurus roars at them and they flee.

But in this Program we aren’t staying here,we’re going back even further.

Then we stop 167 Million Years ago in China

This is Sinraptor,at 7.6 Meters in length and a weight of 1.2 Tons,it’s the top predator of this land

A Jiangjunosaurus faces the Sinraptor.

These 2 titans shall clash,only one will survive.

The Sinraptor and Jiangjunosaurus charge at each other.

But we’re not stopping here,we’re going back even further,to a time where Dinosaurs we’re Underdogs

We zoom into the bottom left of Pangea

This is Argentina 215 million years ago.

We see some animals that look like weird Pig Rhinos.

This animal looks like a pig,but it’s not,it’s a Jachaleria,a Stem-mammal.It was only the size of a Lion but fierce in combat.

The camera pans over to a predator

This is Zupaysaurus,it was around the size of Jachaleria but much thinner,it’s one of the first dinosaurs

The Zupaysaurus creeps up and leaps out as this theme plays

The Zupaysaurus leaps on to the Jachaleria and bites down on the neck,all the Jachaleria run and scream in terror.The Zupaysaurus flips over the Jachaleria

The Zupaysaurus rips open the Jachaleria’s stomps woth it’s claws,the Jachaleria gets eaten alive while it slowly bleeds to death.

Tiny Powellvenator walks up to the Zupaysaurus’s kill,the Zupaysaurus roars at it.

Powellvenator is a relative of Zupaysaurus,however at 2 meters in length it’s only half the size of Zupaysaurus.

In the background we see a predator walking towards the Zupaysaurus

Right now,dinosaurs aren’t the top predators,Rausuchians are At 8 Meters in length and with weight of 2 Tons,Fasolasuchus is the largest predator here.

The Fasolasuchus rushes at the Zupaysaurus and quickly crushes its skull,the Zupaysaurus screams in pain but it’s no use,it dies quickly after.

This attack is to remove competition,not for prey.

We time skip to the night where a mixed herd of 2 Saruopods are sleeping

Riojasaurus and Lessemosaurus are very large for their time period,Riojasaurus was 10 meters in length and weighed 3 Tons,Lessemosaurus was smaller at around 7 Meters in length,but most dinosaurs of the time were less than 3 Meters in length.

We see a Riojasaurus standing up on its hind legs and look out.

Normally these creatures are on their hindlimbs and forelimbs,but when scouting they stand on their 2 hind limbs.

The Riojasaurus hears rustling and starts acting cautions,we get closeups of teeth and limbs,this looks like a Fasolasuchus,the creature jumps out of the clearing.

Not to worry,a small creature like this Riojasuchus isn’t a threat to Riojasaurus.

However there is still danger.A group of Powellvenator creep around to the back of the herd.

Powellvenator was far to tiny to prey on adult Prosauropods,babies are fair game though.

The Powellvenator show of their agility by effortlessly jumping over the adults and sliding through like snakes,one has its side to the camera and it cuts to day.The camera shows about 4 or 5 of the Powellvenator eating a baby Riojasaurus.

This lose of life isn’t something to mourn about for them,the sauropods couldn’t do anything.Right now their more focused on their migration to the south.The lush jungle will be much hotter in the summer and they need to cool off.

The Riojasaurus and Lessemosaurus walk along while a family of Zupaysaurus lay in the shade next to them.

These Zupaysaurus will follow the herd,but there are thousands of them,they can spare time.

The Mom and dad try to sleep but their 3 kids play fighting and playing with rocks

This playing will help them later on when their adults hunting.

Then the kids have a fun idea and start attacking the herd and the herd runs,they nearly get run over but then Mom and Dad save them.Oh yeah and Mom bites them multiple times.The time skips a week and now the animals are in the desert,the Zupaysaurus are following them but they aren’t doing great,the Zupaysaurus are barely surviving.

This young Riojasuchus can only survive then for an hour.

Then the camera pans over to a Fasolasuchus eating a dead Lessemosaurus.Then the Fasolasuchus scents then Zupays and goes doom mode and fricking runs straight through the herd,but the idiot gets tossed around by the running herd and he breaks one of his legs.The Zupays see it but their to close to run,but one fo the da babies sees his broken leg.

Normally they would try to escape,but an injured Fasolasuchus is easier to deal with

Then an epic fight happens and the Fasolasuchus ends after the Dad Zupaysaurus rips his throat out.

They now have a food source.
