Profiles
Metricanthosaurus:Metricanthosaurus is the top predator in these islands,it was relatively big at 8 Meters in Length and weighing 1.5 Tons, and it had long serrated teeth for puncturing flesh.
Liopluredon:On land Metricanthosaurus may be king, but in the water Liopluredon rules his kingdom. It was the size of a hippo and its jaws alone were 1.5 Meters Long, its whole body was 7.2 Meters long, meaning its jaws were over 20% of its body length,it had to eat over 25 kilograms of meat to survive, and right now it’s on the hunt.
Cryptoclidus:Cryptoclidus gave up size and traded it for speed,Cryptoclidus could swim at over 35 kilometers per hour,it may be small, barely being bigger than a Tiger, but it’s a swift jet underwater.
Simolestes:Simolestes is Liopluredon’s smaller cousin,it was around as long as a great white shark, being around 6 Meters,it was also a fast predator that relied on speed instead of ambush like its larger cousin.
Leedsichthys:This is one of the biggest fish in the ocean,at 18 meters long it was longer than 2 school buses, and at 50 Tons it weighed as much as 10 elephants.Even though its size may make you think it would hunt the Sea Reptiles,it was a filter feeder that ate zooplankton.
Tyrannoneustes:This Alligator sized reptile may look like it’s related to Simolestes and Liopluredon, but it’s actually a divergence of crocs, they went fully aquatic and evolved tail flukes.Their lineage may end,but their a wonderfully unique set of species
Callovosaurus:A fast and agile Jurassic Ornithopods,Calovosaurus is related to the famous Dryosaurus. It was much smaller but just as fast, and that’s how they escape predators like Metricanthosaurus.
Lexovisaurus:Lexovisaurus was around as big as a Stegosaurus Stenops, their tail spikes and plates protect them from carnivores like Metricanthosaurus, however their not as useful in the water, they don’t like to cross large seas, but this time they have to.(See what that eludes to)
Cetiosauriscus:Cetiosauriscus means “Like whale lizard” and is often confused with fellow sauropod Cetiosaurus. They were around the same size but Cetiosaurus came later than Cetiosauriscus when Europe began connecting a little bit.
Yeah I’m making a Sea Reptile Episode deal with it
