Extracting Species Profile: Kulindadromeus

Kulindadromeus was a genus of basal Neornithiscian dinosaurs from the mid Jurassic of Asia 145 million years ago in the Bathonian age. It was discovered in 2014 in the Ukureyskaya Formation, Zabaykalsky Krai, Russia by Dr Pascal Godefroit and was named "Kulindadromeus Zabaikalicus" with Kulindadromeus meaning "Kulinda Runner" so all together it means "Kulinda Runner from Zabaylasky Krai"

It was a herbivore eating plant material, it had a short head and arms with five fingers and long legs and tail. It was a small dinosaur, growing up to 1.5 m long and 1 m tall and didn't weigh much

Its feathers are a proof that feathers are basal to Ornithischian and possibly Dinosauria as a whole rather then only Coelurosauria like previously thought
