A group of 7 Kritosaurus walk by a lake.

Many thousands of years after the great K-Pg extinction, Hadrosaurs still survived. But they didn't flourish. The darkness still covered the sunlight that used to bring happiness. Now there were 2 left. One Kritosaurus, and one Edmontosaurus. They knew there could only be one. They stood right beside a boiling volcano. Kritosaurus had a Benelli M4, while Edmontosaurus had an M1 Garand. They both raised their guns in each other's direction.

Then they pulled the trigger. They both killed themselves. The volcano let out a final drop of magma, which burned the hadrosaur's corpses and guns. The volcano then became dormant. The dark clouds cleared. And in what seemed like a billion years, light shone on the Earth for the first time. The small mammals rose up from their burrows. It was the end of a dynasty and the rise of a rebellion(the mammals).

I honestly don't know why I wrote this. Also there have been reports of Hadrosaur bones in Paleogene-aged rocks.
