Maddie's Entry on Velocicarisax:
Velocicarisax (Velocicarisax. magnus, 'the great lord of the speed shrimps') is the giant "Blade Kraken" of Kheltura.
These giant Anomalocarids are akin to aquatic versions of Tempusraptorax, they are immensely fast and agile, almost like Earth Sea Lions. Capable of dashing through the water at incredible speeds, Velocicarisax are able to use water magic to help turn their fins into deadly weapons, like how Tempusraptorax uses wind magic to help it accelerate to immense speeds and cut through its prey like butter. Velocicarisax can use their Mana system to do a similar thing, rapidly cutting through their opponents, Velocicarisax are highly motile and dangerous predators. And are even willing to hunt down people traveling across the tide. It is no wonder why the Gorgons regard them as fierce beasts honestly. Though the Gorgons do treat them with respect, for they are also highly inteligent animals. And are able to make bonds and come to the aid of beings who helped them in the past.
Maddie's Entry on Deuteuthis:
The next of the Krakens is Deuteuthis, (Deuteuthis. primoperator, 'the Primordial Emperor of the God Squids') or the "Cachalot Kraken". Deuteuthis is a massive Squid that has independantly evolved traits similar to vertebrates.
Similar to Cuttlefish, Deuteuthis actually swim with their mouths facing foreward unlike most other Cephalopods. And this allows Deuteuthis to be far more of an active predator, ironically converging with Earth Sperm Whales, Deuteuthis are capable of chasing down other aquatic species. And do so with immense speed, once in range. Deuteuthis will open its the two arms that have fused with its beak to form a jaw like structure.
This will reveal 4 large tentacles, which Deuteuthis will use to grab its prey and drag them into the 'mouth', where it will keep in place as it chews them apart, swallowing large chunks whole. Deuteuthis are found at much deeper depths than most Krakens, and it is this that makes them more terrfiying species than most.
Maddie's Entry on Daimyosuchus:
Daimyosuchus (Daimosuchus. thalattovenator, 'the Sea Hunting Daimyo Crocodile') is one of the members of the Neomesosauria.
Neomesosaurs are a group of giant Marine reptiles that took the place of the seemingly extinct Mosasaurs. Daimyosuchus are capable of using their immensely large forefins to help paddle through the oceans, they're oftentimes significantly more agile than the other large marine predators, only surpassed by Velocicarisax due to their usage of water magic. Even then this only applies to open spaces, as it is hampered by its immense speed.
Daimyosuchus have incredibly powerful jaws, and it uses these jaws to crush through targets with immense force. Daimyosuchus will use this to bite through targets, and it is also equipped with large claws on its fins to aid with this, helping defend it from other attacks its struggling prey may try to inflict on it. And to make matters worse, it hunts in packs, meaning there's not usually just one Daimyosuchus, but two or even four.
However, I've noticed Daimyosuchus will have bite marks resembling those of sharks except far larger and more long and narrow... perhaps a far larger predator, comparable to Deuteuthis in scale lurks out there.
Maddie's Entry on Lumopistris:
Lumopistris (Lumopistris Stygivenator, 'the Glowing Shark of the Stygian Hunters') is an thalassic predator
Lumopistris are large and powerful organisms, capable of slamming through targets with immense force, Lumopistris are hunters of even the other giant predators of the seas. These Giant Sharks claim the title of Kheltura's Apexes of the Sea, as the largest active predator, Lumopistris is able to camoflauge itself against the sea using the glowing markings on its body. This allows this titanic leviathan to blend into the background of the ocean around it despite its massive size, slowly approaching before a significant burst of speed.
These descendants of Saiviodus also have a armored face similar to that of the Placoderms, and it aids in the slamming, for these Sharks bite fast and bite hard. Tearing through targets with immense speed, oftentimes ripping out large chunks of flesh, and letting blood loss do the work of killing for them.
They do have a more playful side though, I've seen Lumopistris oftentimes chasing eachother around like how Earth Dogs do for fun, as if they're playing a game of tag. And Lumopistris will change their color markings for individuals they feel comfortable around. With both trying to synchronize the pulses of their patterns. So whilst this apex is a terrifying force, it does have a rose beneath its thorns.
