3: hallucigenia

Remember, this is a prehistoric animal zoo in Minecraft. Genera will be listed on the signs next to the tanks. Note: I am playing on pocket edition, so you WILL see my hotbar, the settings, my player hand, and the movement controls.
This one is a two-parter, but the rest are just one image
You may not be able to see the trilobites from this shot, but they’re under the coral fans
These guys came from two different addons, but they were the same genus so I put them in the same exhibit.
What do you guys think? This is just a first batch. I would’ve made more, however, I was fairly busy

A bizarre animal indeed, hailing from the Cambrian period, Hallucigenia was one of the pioneers to starting life in the oceans. Hallucigenia ranged from 5 to 55 millimeters long (even though it is suggested by some paleontologists that Hallucigenia was a much larger organism, just like Anamolocaris was when they first thought it was a small shrimp, later discovering more fossils showing the giant it was). Hallucigenia was thought to be a detrivore, walking along the vast floors of the ocean and picking up whatever food it found. Paleontologists in 1911 originally thought that the spines of Hallucigenia were the legs and it walked in a "stilt" like fashion. The discovery of a possibly new species in Canada around the same time made paleoentologists Simon Conway Morris give the Organism it's name Hallucigenia, meaning: "Bizzare and dream-like quality". It wasn't until 1991 that paleontologists Lars Ramskold and Hou Xianguang proposed that the fossil be flipped, so that the tentacles were the ones used for walking instead. This would mean that the spines of Hallucigenia could have been defensive, deterring many suction feeders from approaching so then they wouldn't get stabbed. Paleontologists debate on the placement of Hallucigenia. While others claim that Hallucigenia be part of the Onycophora (Velvet worms) others claim otherwise. Paleontologists claim left and right (left being that the spines could probably be soft instead of hard because the spines have never been found alone and right that this indeed was true but many early predators could easily bypass the spines) it is mostly this reconstruction (1991) that is generally accepted today to be the Hallucigenia we all know and love. Hallucigenia is definitely one of the best Cambrian creatures in my opinion!
