Hi everybody it’s your friendly neighbourhood @Godzilla 1795. A few months ago I saw a post on Jurassic Park wiki about a movie of that wiki and I have got the same idea but it’s a documentary series.

So it will be focused on the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous (although I would accept it being to do with the Cretaceous itself too though). In the comments please tell me what dinosaur or prehistoric creature you wanna be and BTW this is a community event so please say what you wanna be. In the series I will be a therizinosaurus/gojirasaurus hybrid and you can be a normal dinosaur just with a new second name. I will draw this also (at least my vision of it)

So please everyone go into the comments and reply what you wanna be. I will do another post about this and what scenarios you’re dinosaurs are going to be in and with that get commenting

Saurophaganax was the apex predator of the Morrison Formation and really cool dinosaur all around. Not much else to say except this guy's cool.

8. MY PET DUCK GERALD

Suchomimus has always been a favorite of mine, and I guess I always kinda like a yoinking corpses away from larger predators like a bird. Love this fella.

7. FAT ASS OWCHY LIZARD

What can I say? It's stegosaurus. It's just COOL. I really can't say much else.

6. BAD TO THE BONE RIFF EFFECT

Maip was a favorite of mine ever since I saw it in that one Mario Lanzas size comparison video. The name is sick, its claws are sick. This is the hell yeah dinosaur for me.

5. BIG MOTHAFUCKA

Hell yeah, it's T.rex baby. The amount of knowledge this lovely fella has contributed to therapod paleontology is immense, and I love that. Plus, it's a really damn neat dino too!

4. HELLO DARKNESS MY OLD FRIEND

I put that as the name because in discussion about large Therapods, this fella is usually left out. Which sucks, because he is super cool! Tyrannotitan was a fairly robust member of his family, which is what makes it stand out to me.

3. C H U N K Y ' S D E A D

Acro was an absolute UNIT and that is why me and so many others' love it. I love chonky therapods, and this guy is a too much of a unit to leave out.

2. A LOVE LETTER TO GOJIRASAURUS

This thing was my childhood. So, it hit me like a truck when I found out it was dubious. However, this will not stop me from stating my adoration for this creature.

This thing was one of the first dinosaurs to ever really get me into paleontology. The idea of a Triassic therapod, in a world ruled by Loricatans and Phytosaurs, holding an apex predator role really got me intrigued.

It's sleek, slender build intrigued me, as I was used to robust creatures being apex predators, so it took me as a pleasant Suprise.

In other words, this thing sparked my intrigue, and remains my second favorite. And I will always love this thing.

There is no such thing as any love from me for number one.

1.  WALKING IDENTITY CRISIS

At first, it was confusion.

For my first response to seeing this nightmare before nature was saying out loud:

"Fuck is this?"

Ingentia is a walking identity crisis life-stealing demon that's what it is. Just look at it and you struggle to even tell what it is.

After a few minutes, the second feeling set in.

Rage.

What WAS thing? And why do I like it so much? It is a fragmentary, weird ass sauropod with claws and a head-empty face.

RAGE.

It is so painfully generic and BLAND, how could anyone possibly have this in their top 10? I hate this thing.

About a month later, it's my favorite dinosaur.

Acceptance.

This thing is most certainly a dinosaur all right; the dinosaur of all time on may say. It's goofy ass appearance clawed its way to number one, so here we are.

In conclusion, I have no clue because I like Ingentia as much as I do. Maybe it's the goofy face, the claws, the fact it is from the coolest family of sauropods ever? Who knows.

Appearance:

Dragfoot has a very slim, and streamlined body. He has a prominent brow on his head, several razor sharp teeth, long arms with three claws, long legs with three toes, and a long tail. He also has quills on his neck and back. He also has a metal weight strapped onto his right foot which is where he gets his name from. The weight also features small bits of damage, indicating that he has tried to get it off in the past.

He has stripes that are shaped like molten lava, and has additional stripes on his tail similar to the ones seen on sea snakes.

Colors:

His main colors are three shades of blue. A dark ocean blue for his head, a lighter sky blue for his middle half, arms, and legs, and a lagoon blue for his lower half, the same lagoon blue was used for his eyes. His stripes, pupil, and claws are black along with his underbelly. Parts of his tail are colored in a lavender like purple the same goes for his brow. His mouth is red, his teeth are a bone color, and his membrane is cream colored. The weight on his foot is silver.

Personality and History:

Before everything went downhill, Dragfoot was one of the most intelligent and most powerful dinosaurs in terms of the smaller scale range. He was such an effective hunter due to his endurance and a top speed of 50 miles per hour that made him a formidable assailant to any unfortunate animal that dared to cross his path.

During the peak of his reputation, a company known as Dunamis Incorporated found Sauria Island and decided to mine the land for resources. During this time, Dragfoot was captured by the company and at first he was going to be killed after he tried to attack Dunamis' workers, but after a little bit if back and forth between the staff, they decided that he could be a useful asset.

He was later trained by a man who's name has been lost to time. Under the man's guidance he was treated fairly well. This was before Dunamis started to use dinosaurs as weapons so they were treated with more respect. Although there was one worker who wasn't on board with the idea.

This person wasn't really a member of Dunamis. He only pretended to be one to infiltrate the company because he was actually a corporate spy sent to sabotage Dunamis in order to make their sales drop so that other companies will benefit from it.

He settled on sabotaging the progress on Dragfoot. Both because it was his mission and because the theropod almost killed him on one occasion. One day, Dragfoot's rider handed off the dinosaur to the spy because he was being sent back to the mainland. Not knowing what the man intended to do to the dinosaur.

He proceeded to starve Dragfoot, Without the supervision of the higher ups, he managed to get away with this with no problem. When the rider came back, he took Dragfoot out on a hunt. This is where the spy's plan would come into motion as he spilled dinosaur blood onto the rider but claimed it was an accident.

By that point, Dragfoot didn't recognize that man as his rider, but as his prey. The rider fought back with a knife and after a brief struggle, they fell into a small watering hole where the blood wore off and Dragfoot recognized his rider again. But it was already took late as Dragfoot was deemed unstable by both Dunamis and his rider. He was detained by mercenaries and his rider placed a weight on the dinosaur's foot so that he would have trouble with hunting. This was his punishment for attempting to kill his rider.

What they didnt expect was for Dragfoot to adapt to this new life. Because of the decrease in his speed, he has become a much more patient and calculating dinosaur who's intelligence was growing with each passing year. He no longer ran as he preferred to either scavenge or ambush his prey in quick bursts.

As the years went by, Dragfoot lived his life in the forest in relative safety. The spy was exposed much later on but they didn't try to remove Dragfoot's weight because it's clear he now views them as a threat.

Later on, the spy's son, Travis Venator arrived onto the island. While his goals remain unknown, one of them was to hunt down Dragfoot. Some people assumed that it was because it's probably what his father would do if he was here.

At first, he didn't care about the hunter and ignored him. That is until he heard him fire a gunshot. This awakened some trauma within Dragfoot because he associates the sounds of guns with his detainment since the mercs tried to shoot him. And this is why he develops a sort of rivalry with Venator.

This fight went on for five years. They'd always try to hunt each other whenever possible. Venator would often loot abandoned Dunamis facilities on the island to refill his guns and get some semblance of shelter. This whole experience made Dragfoot much more strategic as he would tend to plan traps for the hunter.

One such occasion was when Travis was looking at a camera monitor outside one of the facilities. Dragfoot had used mud to put some footprints outside. Travis assumed that because the footprints led outside, he thought that Dragfoot had left. Only to realize that the dinosaur was tricking him due to the footprints leading back into the front of the facility.

During the last year of their rivalry, Dunamis Incorporated was busy trying to take down the Fossil Riders because they were getting in the way of their plans, but on the flip side, Travis and Dragfoot finally met their last confrontation.

This took place at another abandoned facility, but this time Travis had

devised a plan that would end their five year long bout. He lured Dragfoot to a specific part of the facility to trap him. He took a pole and jabbed it in between the chains of Dragfoot's metal weight and pinned him to a wall. He then threw a lighter over to a gas tank and caused an explosion. But it didn't kill Dragfoot because he was so desperate to live he exerted all his strength into one large leap. He was blown away by the explosion and was left with a burn on the right side of his face.

When Dragfoot stood up, he noticed that he got lighter in weight. He even started to jump around to see if this was true. Then he realized that during the explosion, the weight was blown off. And due to the many years of him being weighed down, it has caused him to become even faster after the weight was released. He then started to stalk a limping Travis who was severely injured. Right now, we haven't decided on what will happen yet, but there's possibility that only one will come out alive. Travis can only hope to find another place of solice before his nemesis catches up to him. And with him gaining back his speed, is there really any form of escape left for this man?

Trivia:

• I didn't work on Dragfoot at all. He was all my brother's idea, from his design to his backstory. It's because since my brother was helping with designing, I let him make his own dinosaur and didn't try to alter anything.

• In this universe, this creature technically isn't Gojirasaurus. Its just a Coelophysis relative that nobody had a name for. But because it was so large and it looked vaguely like one, it was decided that it would be called Gojirasaurus.

• He is one of the only theropods who can walk in a more upright position and a quadrapedal stance. He can do this by stretching his arms to the side and lowering his body. His hands may look to be pronated, but it's just because of the angle in which his arms are positioned.

• He's the strongest of the smaller scale dinosaurs. Cross the Utahraptor comes at a close second.

• His eyes are blue, as a reference to his namesake Godzilla/Gojira who, in some incarnations, has his eyes glow when he's charging his iconic Atomic Breath.

• His quills perk up as a form of intimidation.

• Similarly to Hangjaw, he didn't get a mate because he was considered unattractive due to the weight on his foot.

• He's one of the only dinosaur antagonist who's had a human rider in the past.

• His relationship with Venator was loosely inspired by the rivalry between Moby Dick the White Whale and Captain Ahab.

• Dragfoot is the only antagonistic animal so far who doesn't have a relation with the Fossil Riders. The closest the story gets to that is when a member of the team, named Krate, caught a glimpse of him fighting with Venator.

• Krate calls him Goji. Mostly because the name Dragfoot was given to him by Venator as a way to mock him so Krate is unaware of the name.

• Despite his bright colors, he's actually efficient in stealth due to his feet having pads under them that prevent his prey from hearing his footsteps.

• He lost a fair amount of weight due to the metal that was dragging him down. This is why he became faster when the weight was detached.

• Due to his stealth orientated nature, he has lost the need to roar or growl because he deems it pointless to announce yourself to your prey. He does however do it to taught Travis during their final encounter.

• At first, we were supposed to give him spikes so that he'd resemble his species namesake even more. But decided against it because we didn't want to constantly associate Gojirasaurus with Godzilla himself but we still added a few references here and there.

• His species name, Nanumdeus translates to "Dwarf Deity" This is a reference to the fact that his kind are way smaller than what they were named after.

• His colors were inspired by the exotic skins found in Primal Carnage. My brother told me he specifically took inspiration from their Ceratosaurus.

Here we have the top predator of the smaller scale dinosaurs of Sauria. Dragfoot the Gojirasaurus Nanumdeus! He is an extremely powerful dinosaur for his size and he has dominated the food chain in terms of his size range. But as his name suggests, he is indeed handicapped. But not by natural reasons.

If you're wondering why Gojirasaurus is in this universe. There's actually an explanation as to why it exists as a valid dinosaur in Sauria.

Sarcosuchus from Dino Time

This one speaks for itself. Not even paleo edge lords go this far. Heck, not even JWTG’s Max Level Sarco goes this far. And WHY does one of them have DREADLOCKS MADE OF TENTACLES!?!? This was the first time I ever saw a Sarcosuchus BTW. And I think I’m better off not remember if I believed it or not (I already have enough reasons to hate my cringy young self)

Ouranosaurus from The Return to Jurassic Park Comics

This one was way too cartoony, resulting in it looking more like a weird spinosaurus.

Deinonychus from Jurassic World Evolution

WTF does it have that stupid crest and weird eyes?!

Allosaurus from Carnivores Dinosaur Hunter

I heard Saurian Target explain a good rule of thumb when designing dinosaurs: Capture the essence of the dinosaurs, so it looks like the dinosaur. Does this look like an allosaurus to you? Course not! It looks like a dumb raptor clone, which is also in this game! Never once have I heard anyone justify, nor defend this design.I don’t care if it’s an alien, at least the other dinosaurs (ignoring chasmosaurus) look like the dinosaurs they are!

The Unidentified Mosasaurid from The Jurassic Park Redemption

This comic is the worst piece of official Jurassic media of all time. And the designs are no expectation. Prolly the worst of these is the mosasaurid which for some reason is super fat and has legs.

Orson the “Protoceratops” form Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild

What the f*** is this!? Kill it with fire!! This blows the Sacro Bros out of the water. As if being a whiny unfunny antagonist wasn’t enough, this Protoceratops is also super ugly. It’s bipedal, a weird short carnivore face and a stupid spiked tail. The only positive is that this unholy abomination was presumably eaten alive at the end of the movie. I’d argue it’s the one of, if not, the worst design in this entire list.

Therizinosaurus from the How do Dinosaurs books

The dinosaur designs for the entire series are already kind of iffy. Most of them are cartoonifications of dinosaurs that range from Ok to Annoying. This Theri looks more like a dinosaur ape hybrid and I hate it.

I thought it was a mistake when I first saw it. It’s literally a repainted Velociraptor from WWD: Chased by Dinosaurs!

Carnotaurus form Age of Dinosaurs

The literal only impressive part of this design is that the Asylum made an original model, but it would unironically be better if used a stock model. It isn't a hybrid BTW, this is a straight up Carno. I guess they thought Drmaeosaurids weren’t edgy enough.

Gojirasaurus from Triassic World

I’m convinced that someone at the Asylum googled “Triassic Dinosaur names”, picked the edgiest name without thinking about making their Fat Mini T-rex look like Gojirasaurus.

Lagosuchus, Unknown 4 legged dinosaur and Unknown armored dinosaur all from 65

I hope to god these aren’t the designs the general public actively want for dinosaur movies now. Are generic as f*** Slurpasaurs and Chinasaurs really more exciting than actual dinosaurs?

Starting with the Lago, it looks so much like a stupid Indoraptor knock-off, I’m convinced the name came after the design. It bears a bit of resemblance, but said resemblance is buried under a mountain of doubt.

Unlike the Lago, the 4 legs Rex was never officially confirmed by anyone to be Fasolasuchus, which makes me convinced people are in denial about this being a generic Indoraptor + V-rex mix. It looks like we devolved back to the slurpasaur era of Paleo Cinema. I hate it.

Finally there’s the weird armored baby. It’s goofy as hell, like one of those generic china knock off dinosaur toys. You’re not convincing me a baby Rex with Anky armor glued to it is the same as Jakapil, an early armored herbivore that by sheer coincidence happens to be biped .

Another rule of thumb about dinosaur designs is that context is key. I’m ok with more deviations for Hybirds, Aliens, Evolutionary descendants, etc. If these were alien dinosaurs, sure I’d be annoyed by all of them being unidentified and generic, but at least they would make sense in context. But these dinosaurs are from earth and the people are the aliens?! WHAT?!

Pachyrhinosaurus from Dinosaur SupperWorld (Amazing DinoWorld in English)

In addition to the feather coating, this one is infamous for being a freaking Unicorn. It speaks for itself really.

Pteranodon form LEGO Studios Raptor Rumble set

This one turned out this way because you assemble the entire pterosaur instead of 4 or so pieces and you're done. I want to give props for creativity, but can’t. Not with that face

Bavarisaurus from I’m a Dinosaur series

This isn’t a half bad dinosaur design. Until you realize Bavarisaurus isn’t a dinosaur at all! It’s actually a lizard that Compsognathus ate! I get they want to keep children entertained but come on!

The Chinasaur one speaks for itself really and one I’d also argue for absolute worst of this entire list

The Arctic Giant from the Superman short of the same name is identified by being Tyrannosaurus, bringing up one of my least favorite paleo tropes: Normal Dinosaurs = Kaiju. There’s something wrong to me, the idea of dinosaurs being treated as equivalents to kaiju (examples: Rhedosaurus, The Giant Behemoth, the entire Dinosaurs Attack cards series). God I’m glad this era died.

Speaking of eras that died, the Iguana, sorry, I mean T.rex from King Dinosaur. I had to include at least one Slurpasaur in this worst dinosaurs list (apart from 65 lol). Yes, this one is also an alien, but they say in the film itself “It resembles the Tyrannosaurus Rex of Earth’s prehistoric age.”

Dilophosaurus form the Jurassic Franchise

Let’s not be blinded by Nostalgia folks! While the only design that is appealing to look at in this entire list, the JP Dilo commits several sins too. For some reason it has a super short snout like an abelisaurid and has that frill which has glued itself to the generic public perception of dinosaurs for years.

Giganotosaurus from Jurassic World the Game

Ignoring the Max level dinosaurs anyways, this is the dumbest looking Ludia dinosuar ever. Regardless of what you think of Dominion’s Giga, this is worse, so much worse! It has a dopey abelisaurid face and long t.rex arms. I hate. I hate! I HATE!

Cretaeous the “Ichthyosaurid” from Ice Age 2 the Meltdown

This is an ok Metriorhynchus design, except the only official source claims Cretaceous is an icthyosaurid! What!?

Side note, it felt like the antagonists of Ice Age 2 and the dinosaur line in the first act were foreshadowing for Ice Age 3, like the global warming line at the end of the first movie. Not relevant, just want to point that out.

Magnus the baby Styracosaurus from My Pet Dinosaur.

My God we’re finally done. The adult form is decent but the baby form is stupid. It too looks like yet another generic whatever-saurus with weird fin thingies, because screw making the dinosaur look like a dinosaur.

I mean, they're both semi-aquatic, long-snouted, sail-backed, fin-tailed dinosaurs. yeah, this is obviously a coincidence, and this is just a stupid meme. Oh, and it's also funny that there used to be an actual dinosaur called Titanosaurus (it's a Nomen Dubium now). I'm also not the first person to make this comparison.

Godzillasaurus is a fictional Ceratosaur named after Godzilla. Like Ceratosaurus, they have "osteoderms" on their backs, but Godzillasaurus' osteoderms are much larger and some branch off into multiple points.

Godzillasaurus lived in what is now Japan during the middle cretaceous, 96 million years ago. I don't have a species name for Godzillasaurus, but I was thinking of something like Godzillasaurus Tanakaii (Tomoyuki Tanaka's Godzilla-Lizard), or maybe Godzillasaurus Japonicus (Japanese Godzilla-Lizard).

Note: Godzillasaurus is NOT the same thing as Gojirasaurus, similarly named genus of theropod that may or may not be invalid.
