This also confirms that Longisquama is a drepanosaur and disproves the theory that it's dorsal structures are homologous to feathers in ornithodiran archosaurs.

Name: Crepidovenator initium "Beginning Foundation Hunter"
When it lived: 155-147.6 MYA
Where it lived: USA
Length: 32 feet long
Height: 9 feet tall
Weight: 1 ton
Description: These predators are said to be the base to many of a certain alien organism's predatory land dinosaurs, and it has done it's job well, as they are apex predators.
(Yep I am back doing this Drepanosaur spec project)
The first 2 look to Therizinosaurid and Drepanosaurid respectively, but 3 is a reference to The New Dinosaurs
DFTPF stands for Dinosaur Families to Paleozoic Families.
Nothosauridae to Phragmoceratidae (yes ik Nothosaurs aren't dinosaurs, but I will let this one slide) Requested by: @BrodyTM5
Therizinosauridae to Drepanosauridae (yes Drepanosaurs aren't from the Paleozoic but someone requested it) Requested by: @Mediterranean Mapper
Tyrannosauridae to Gorgonopsidae Requested by: @Rexyisdebest
If you feel like requesting me of any species go to this post here
@Rudi10002 dont know if you are continuing this speculative series but I never got around to making my own creature, so here we are.
This is Maximosaurus Borealis (Greatest Northern Lizard, supposedly)
Maximosaurus is not a hadrosaur, nor is it a dinosaur, and it is in fact a highly derived drepanosaur. It lacks many features present in more basal drepanosaurs, such as a claw at the end of a prehensile tail, and the prehensile tail itself. Instead this creature has opted for a more ground based lifestyle, which has allowed it to obtain a massive size. These creatures prefer to feed on low to the ground plants, such as the leaves of short trees, ferns, and even some grasses (although the latter is not as common as it is now.) Their main predator would have been the Lophorex.
Temporal Range
Maximosaurus first popped up in the Campanian stage of the late Cretaceous, and thrived until the Maastrichtian in what is now North America. When the Chicxulub asteroid struck, they were somehow able to survive, albeit in low numbers. By about 1 million years into the Paleocene, they had died out completely.
(Before we begin I'd like to announce the winner and that is @HogBurger!)
Masked Birdonkey
Scientific Name: Procyonavisimias psittacops "Parrot-faced racoon bird monkey"
Length: (about cat sized)
Height: (about cat sized)
Weight: (about cat sized)
Description: These small-monkey like omnivores feed on insects, grubs, worms, fruits, and quasi-mammals. They are still alive to this day, they look vaguely like monkeys but just like many other creatures they evolve from Drepanosaurs, and is an example of a Cenozoic drepanosaur
(before we begin please look into Lophorex tyrannops before going onto this one)
Oxyrhamphus tyrannus "Sharp Beaked Tyrant"
Length: 45 feet long
Height: 12.67 feet tall
Weight: 9.5 tons
Description: Although Laurasia has it's Lophorex tyrannops but on Gondwana they have Oxyrhamphus tyrannus and it is also known as the "Gondwanan Lophorex" due to it being an apex predator in Gondwana just like how Lophorex is in Laurasia. Other than that nothing too different other than it looks like a vintage depiction of dinosaur and they live in Tanzania, and Brazil from 68-66 MYA.
(can you guess what this creature is reference to hint: It's a kids film from 1988 and the winner gets to create their own creature for the project but be sure to mention me which is @Rudi10002 and I will give you a shoutout)
So, I have a ton of old spec drawings based off of prehistoric life and I'd like to show all of them to yall.
Ok the first one of these (btw I am NOT going in chronological order) is this Parksosaurid gazelle and yes it is a quadruped.
Next up is this goofy ahh Heterodontosaurid T. rex and don't forget I made these since I was 13 and now I am 15 gonna be 16 in August.
Ok next up is yet another Parksosaurid but this time its filling the niche of a Jerboa yes I a lot of my old creatures were bizarre.
Ok, not really a spec creature but I did make this Lepictidium
Ok here is one of my first ever spec creatures I have made on the internet yeah it is goofy ahh.
This picture was when I first got into Ibis Paint of which is the program I use mostly now, but I do got to say its not that bad.
Oh! Here's the man, the myth, the legend himself the Phytosaurus, so gonna be real here this was supposed to be a drepanosaur filling the niche of a plant.
Ok, so I have played with the idea of aquatic drepanosaurs and this one in particular evolves from a flying lineage and I mean just like the other MS Paint creature this one's also goofy ahh.
Ok, not really a drawing but it is a phylogenetic tree for the fauna of Drepanoterra which is the original name for this drepanosaur spec project
Jambazinychus scorpiocauda "Scorpion Tailed Robber Claw" (Jambazi means Robber in Swahili)
Length: 13 feet long
Height: 6 feet tall
Weight: 205 pounds
Description: Though human-size these skilled predators hunt in swarms and are capable of stripping almost any large herbivore clean into a skeleton. Despite their appearance they are neither shuvosaurids or dinosaurs but instead derived drepanosaurs that live in the Middle Jurassic period in what is now Montana and Utah, in a universe where drepanosaurs are the dominant lineage of animals in the Mesozoic (and maybe Cenozoic I haven't planned on that yet).
(Before we begin I'd like to give a shout out @HogBurger because yes Drepanosaurs are very underrated as a lineage of animals, and I hope they get more attention in media someday)
Lophorex tyrannops "Crested Tyrant Faced King"
Length: 46 feet long
Height: 13 feet tall
Weight: 11 tons
Description: Soon over time the Jambazinychus had evolved various body plans converging on that of the non-avian theropods of our timeline (and even its ancestor had a body build similar to that of a non-avian theropod), and one infamous genus known as the Lophorex had ruled the earth during the end of the Mesozoic at around 68-66 MYA where it was an apex predator in its environment, and living in what is now North Dakota, Wyoming, Indiana, and Texas at the end of the Cretaceous period. They aren't usually picky on their diet due to there being an abundance of herbivores in the environment.
(This creature was originally gonna converge on a build like that of an abelisaur but then I saw how much it resembled a tyrannosaur much more than that of an abelisaur, and so I have made it a tyrannosaur analogue)
Oh yeah I did say that I have 2 piece of OLD art of speculative drepanosaur descendants and here they are
The first creature is the Pantherasaurus leo, it was a drepanosaur that converges on a big cat and yes I gave it slit pupils like a snake and not the round one of me now, and that was because I had a little phase in where I gave both Spinosaurs, and non-dinosaur reptiles slit pupils. Also you can see how skinny the legs were unlike now where you can clearly see on how beefy they are and next creature I do sorta like.
So here it is, it is called the Tyrannoraptor rex (no I am not kidding that's what it was called) and yes you can obviously see why it's old as no it's neck is not built that way as its actually turning its head around. Also yes there is a human for scale of which I never really use anymore nowadays, but if this post get up to 10 upvotes then I will do redesign of one of the 2 creatures.

Noctowl kills a Triceratops
Camarasaurus crushes a Metapod, killing it
Our world used to be very different,it was home to some incredible creatures, some so big they make elephants look like mice.
We see a Girrafatitan walk along.Eating Leaves
Some so small, their the size of cats
We see an Agilisaurus rush across as a Gasosaurus hunts it
And some that are so remarkably weird
We see a Beipiaosaurus digging for plants
The prehistoric world was over 4 Billion Years Old,so many animals lived during that time, and were looking at the most famous, the dinosaurs.
We see an Albertosaurus roar at the air as the Title fades in.Then “Early Starts” appears under it
In this program we’re going back in time,to the time of dinos.
We go to a grassland in Spain as it shifts back,we now see an Island, this titan appears in front of us
We’re in a remarkable time known as the late Cretaceous,a bit under 66 Million Years ago, these are Ampelosaurus,12 Ton Titans that live in giant herds, but where there’s prey, there’s predators.
This is Betasuchus,it was originally thought to be a crocodile,it is one of the few Abelisaurs in the Northern Hemisphere.
The Betasuchus stalks the Ampelosaurus herd.
He’s much smaller than an Adult so he’s looking for a juvenile Ampelosaurus.
He rushes at a Juvenile Ampleosaurus that’s away from the herd but the scene pauses.
Were not stopping here,we’re going back even further.
We go to China and the landscape changes into a lush jungle.
We see a Cericeripterus land onto a Shunosaurus
This is a Symbiotic Relationship,Sericeripterus, the pterosaur, eats the bugs, while the Shunosaurus provides protection from predators
A Gasosaurus like this one may be hungry, but it’s not stupid enough to attack an adult Shunosaurus.
As it walks away the Narrator says
This isn’t our stopping point,we’re going back even further to a time where dinosaurs didn’t rule the Earth,in a time known as the Late Triassic.
We go the a desert wasteland as this little bugger shows up
Triassic Arizona,217 Million Years ago,was a desert wasteland where Water is scarcer than Chicken Teeth, but somehow, animals survive like this Depanosaurus. It may look like a lizard but it’s a Neodiapsid.
Then suddenly the Branch it’s on falls and a dinosaur jumps and eats it
This is Camposaurus,a relative of the more famous Coelophysis,at about 2.5 to 3 meteres long and 30 Kilograms,it’s the usual size for an early Dinosaur.
Her kids come and start tearing up the Dripynosaurus, they go to the water and encounter 5 or 6 of those guys
Redondasaurus was a large Phytosaur,a group of Crocodile-like animals. The Camposaurus are careful around these guys, with a bite force of 2 Tons they can easily crush a Camposaurus, these 7 meter giants are the apex predators
There is very little water and a giant group of Plaacerias around it
These 2 Ton Therapsids are very widespread, their almost invincible as adults as Camposaurus was to small.
The Camposaurus wait until Sunset when they can finally drink.
Life is hard in the Desert Wasteland of prehistoric Arizona.
The night falls and the morning starts out with a rainstorm. We see a bunch of these guys here.
This rain is good news, the mother Camposaurus has lost 2 of her kids to starvation,Drepanosaurus was to small, but the Shuvosaurus are their main prey in the wet season.
The Camposaurus tries to stalk but a Redondasaurus grabs one,the rest scatter but they run into the Camposaurus and they don’t last long. They now have 2 Shuvosaurus and run into a Desmatosuchus along the way
This is Desmatosuchus,it’s an armored tank that is almost invincible as an adult.
They walk by peacefully, and finish their kill.
They see a herd of Shuvosaurus
The Camposaurus are full and decide not to hunt today.
We then go to the Shuvosaurus
They may look like dinosaurs but their relatives of Crocodilians, right now is their mating season.Their also vegetarians however
We see them eating plants and shiz before one of them screees
This is mating season and their getting ruthless.
We see another look at the foe and they square up.
Neither want to get hurt, their not really suited for combat.
The two start pecking at each other and then one kicks, this shows the battle is on.
The charge,Headbutt,Peck,Kick,Slam and bite before the challenger gets kicked into the head and kicked into the chest. He cried out but it’s useless. Then the Camposaurus kill it but now the Desmatosuchus scares it away and starts eating
Desmatosuchus may be herbivorous but Meat is much more nutritious.
Then the Shuvosaurus does a mating dance but since I’m lazy just do here
The male flexes and jumps,in his final act he jumps while crying out he then flexes his throat pouch and standing on his tail, the women like it and he gets laid,he-
BTCH YOU THINK I WOULD DO PARACROCODYLOMORPH PORN YOU FKING SICK MOFO
Then we see a pretty scene underwater where some Redondasaurus are eating Generic Fish.
They may hunt land prey but fishing is also a good alternative.Their giants but can be peaceful at times.
But the Wet Season is also where prey eat and shiz, then Placerias go to de wotr, and Redondasaurus hunts
The Redondasaurus jump out at attack the Placerias scatter and trample a male.
Then fast forward 6 Months cause
We see the Momma and 2 bab Camposaurus(3rd one gets deded by Redondasaurus)
Her kids are now almost old enough to leave.
Its the Dry Season and the trampled Redondasaurus isn’t doing so hot.
The dry season is making the Redondasaurus restless.Their now ready to do anything for food.
The 2nd in command sees the injured male and fking ambushes it
The fight happens and the injured male attacks very powerfully but gets kicked out,he then sees a Desmatosuchus and when desperate times call, you need to take desperate measures
Desmatosuchus is a dangerous animal, but a desperate Lion will try to kill a Giraffe.
He sneaks up to Desmatosuchus and goes for the neck but it shifts and Redonda gets a mouth full of Spiky Sides, the Redonda faces the Desmatosuchus and bites it’s head,Desmatosuchus slices it’s shoulder to the edge of the Redondasaurus’s stomach,Redonda uses all of its force to flip it over and eat it alive,he may be well but he now has 20 Injuries
Phytosaurs are resilient but his death is almost inevitable
To show how much they’ve learned the Camposaurus kids,a male and female, quickly kill a Dripynosaurus.
Later on at night we see the male escape the family.
He will be kicked out sooner or later,so he just goes in advance
Later in the morning the Redondasaurus groaning while slowly bleeding but about 500 Feet away we see our Camposaurus encounter a female and we see the sexual dimorphism between a male and female.
The males are much bulkier(Coelophysis is known for it,why not Campo) and had a bigger, bluer crest. However we see another Camposaurus cry.
Unlike a Shuvosaurus,Camposaurus males often fight to the death for a mate.
They face and our Camposaurus starts attacking
The Final Agni Kai(Something like it at least) plays
Now the Battle is bloody and vile but it ends with our Camposaurus jumping onto the rival and snapping his neck
Drepanosaurus start eating the for and the boi gets his mate, however they scent the dying Redonda
Soon they start attacking it and kill it(Redondasaurus is almost dead and couldn’t do anything) and then more, and more, and more Camposaurus start swarming the dead thing as terrifying swarm music plays.
Phytosaurs will go extinct in a few million years and Dinosaurs will start to dominate
Fastforward 5 Months to spring where a buncho bab Camposaurus start running around
One starts running and he jumps, this transitions to Sarcosaurus
Facing a Scelidosaurus
The time is 198 Million Years ago,a time where the land was ruled by dinosaurs
We then see a Rhomaleosaurus chase an Attenborosaurus
The seas are ruled by terrors,Sea Terrors
All in the life of the dinosaurs, their truly remarkable, tune in next time for Prehistoric Legends
Our world used to be very different,it was home to some incredible creatures, some so big they make elephants look like mice.
