Dreadnoughtus

On this day, 4 years ago, your's truly first joined Dinopedia, I usually do something for these anniversaries but I've completely forgotten about it until right now so uhhhhhh

Here's my updated top 10 favorite Dinosaurs, there has been quite a few changes

10. Diabloceratops

Diablo officially replaces Pachyrhinosaurus as my favourite Ceratopsian, this thing just has one of the coolest and most unique looking horn orientation, and fire name as well. Diablo was my favourite Ceratopsian at one point, but then I kind of just, lost intrest in it, now after finding really great art of it, I love it again

9.Nanuqsaurus

Nanuq drops one spot down the list, what can say besides it's the coolest Tyrannosauroid (pun not intended), iirc, it's appearing in Surviving Earth, so I'm excited for that

8. Australovenator

Megaraptorans are a goated group of animals, your favourite could literally be any species and I'd fully understand why, the only reason I've put Australovenator as my favourite is because I like the JWE 2 design

7. Acrocanthosaurus

Acro replaces Mapusaurus as my favourite Allosauroid, I like big animals and I like unique animals, this thing is both, Mapu will always hold a special place in my heart though

6. Spinosaurus

Spinosaurus remains in the same spot it was before, take what I said about Acro and copy paste it here, and also I fell in love with the Planet Dinosaur depiction as a kid so that's also a big player

5. Microraptor

Microraptor also remains in the same spot it was before, it's adorable, unique, and it has a interesting history, I still can't believe we know the colours of some Dinosaurs

4. Dreadnoughtus

Dreadnoughtus replaces Isisaurus as my favourite Sauropod, it's big and has a cool name, it also for some reason had an increase in media appearances in recent times, Dominion, PHP, and Dino Dex all had excellent designs

3. Natovenator

Natovenator is the best Dromaeosaurid, it's unique and has a catchy name, I can't help but like it, also I had it as my pfp for a long time

2. Rajasaurus

It's an Indian Dinosaur so obviously I'm gonna be biased, and one of the only cool Indian Dinosaurs as well, I've only liked it more after the PHP depiction

1. Parasaurolophus

This is no surprise, Parasaurolophus was my first favourite Dinosaur and always has been and will always continue to be

Here I am sitting on a plane. We’ve been flying from Malta to the Dolomite’s for about an hour. And just waiting to land. We’re heading to Biosyn valley to extract files relating to “MediAustro”.

During the flight, Jack gets a call.

“Just a sec, I gotta take this, can y’all be quiet?” he says.

A minute later he hangs up.

”what was that about?” Holly asks.

”Oh, just one of Duckhunt’s assistants calling me. I dunno there names since they all go by code names, 65’s the code name of this assistant. He was just calling to tell me that our group of Scelidosaurus in Jersey is being transferred to Germany, and our male Australovenator, nicknamed Frank, is being transported to our base in Wacona Alaska, along with his children,” he replies.

After Jack finishes, Arnold the British paleontologist gets up to use the bathroom, although I swear I see him pull out his phone.

As I’m grabbing some food, Nancy approaches me, like she’s going to talk to me. I barely know her, but she looks awfully familiar. But before she can say anything, I hear Hellen shout; “hey Johnson, come over here.”

I walk over to her table (for some odd reason the plane’s two front rows have been modified to hold tables, like a seating booth)

“I don’t think I ever got to know you” she says.

”well you were kind of distracted at the meeting,” I say

”yeah,” she says, partially laughing, “but anyway, why’d you join the market?”

” I lost my job at the DPW’s research division after freeing a Gar that was going to be put down since it was believed that it was responsible for the attacks in Michigan.”

”was it?” She asks.

“No, it was just a juvenile, heck I dunno why they even thought it was responsible for the attacks, it almost feels like it was just a cover story for something else,” I tell her. “Why’d you join?”

“I spent years researching Dinosaurs, and was planning to go to the university of Fairbanks after I graduated from high school, but after graduating, I lost my place because some rich kid payed the UAF to give them my spot,” she replies, “the DFW wouldn’t hire me since I’m only 19, and since I figured there were no other jobs out there for me, I joined the market.”

“Man, that must suck.” I say.

”It does,” she replies

All of a sudden Jack stands up and says: Alright, we’re here.”

Upon landing, Jack tells us he’ll wait here to watch the plane. We show the United Nations workers (since the incident in 2022 and the death of Lewis Dodgson’s death, Biosyn valley has been operated by the UN) our forged Biosyn badges and they let us into the helicopter.

It’s a pretty odd helicopter, with two turbines on the side, pretty sure it’s custom made.

Once we fly in, it isn’t long before we see our first dinosaur. A massive Dreadnoughtus resting in a shallow lake.

Upon flying further we spot a pack of Pyroraptors playing in the woods.

We even spotted some Dinosaurs I didn’t even know were cloned. Like the Ankylosaur Anodontosaurus and the Oviraptosaur; Apatoraptor. Both are dinosaurs from the horseshoe canyon formation.

By the time we’re halfway between the airfield and the Biosyn Headquarters, Susan says; “Alright, we’re landing down by that outpost, get ready to get in the cars,”

I look out and see what appears to be a warehouse with to Biosyn Jeep Gladiators parked.

We must be driving through the woods to approach quietly without staff spotting us, but that still means we must deal with the dangers that lurk these woods.

People get mad about how media often depicts dromaeosaurids easily killing hadrosaurs and sauropods without any effort, but that is actually very scientifically accurate and anyone who says otherwise is objectively an ignorant sauropod simp.

For starters, Dreadnoughtus is very stupid as it was completely devoid of intelligence. It would therefore not realize that it's being attacked until it's too late. On the other hand, Velociraptor is extremely smart and can solve complex mathematical equations in a few seconds. This was proven true in the award-winning documentary Jurassic Park III, in which professional paleontologist Alan Grant states that it is in fact smarter than primates and dolphins

Dreadnoughtus is also very slow. Even if it used its full brain power to detect the Velociraptor, the latter would easily dodge its attacks. Velociraptor could therefore easily jump on its back where the Dreadnoughtus wouldn't be able to do anything.

We also mustn't forget that Velociraptor has hands and could therefore pack a gun, much like famed 19th century gunslinger Slowpoke Rodriguez. Dreadnoughtus, on the other hand, only has those stupid forelimbs that can't do anything.

Additionally, we have to take into consideration the fact that Dreadnoughtus has a very major weak point; its neck. If the Velociraptor delivers enough scratches to its neck, the sauropod would die.

And finally, there is strong evidence that suggests Velociraptor killed 50-70-ton sauropods by going down their throat into their digestive tract and stabbing them in the heart.

But most importantly, the reason Velociraptor is the clear winner 100% of the time is because Dr. Manhattan revealed it to me in a dream.

The Thunder King (the scientific name Colossocollurex Styrax means "Colossal-Necked King with Spikes"). The Thunder King is a Titanosaur, possibly related to Dreadnoughtus or something. This is less realistic than some of my previous dinosaurs for this movie, but it's also more creative, being a Titanosaur with a tail club.

At 28 meters (about 92 feet) in length and over 70 tons, this is the largest animal in the movie. They are so big that most predators don't even risk hunting them unless they absolutely need to. Seriously look at its size compared to a Blue Whale!

They're about the same length, but a Thunder King is lighter (closer in size to a large Alamosaurus or a small Argentinosaurus than a Blue Whale) because an animal as big as a blue whale cannot function on land.
