1) At the end of the Furongian (late Cambrian) and beginning of the Ordovician, the temperature of surface waters in the equatorial zone reached 43.9°C (111.02°F), which is significantly higher than today. By the end of the Ordovician, as a result of global cooling and the onset of glaciation, these temperatures dropped to 24.2°C (75.56°F), which is lower than today.
2) Both the shortest (Induan) and longest (Norian) non-Quaternary ages are included in the Triassic period. Induan was almost four times shorter than the Quaternary period, while Norian lasted almost as long as the Neogene period.
3) There are indications that fires occurred as early as the Silurian due to the spread of terrestrial plants.
4) The Karoo Ice Age ended about 260 million years ago. The next, Late Cenozoic glaciation, began ~34 million years ago with the freezing of Antarctica. During the ~226 million years separating them, the Earth maintained a greenhouse climate. Pterosaurs and non-avian dinosaurs appeared and went extinct during this interval.
5) Scorpions became the first fully terrestrial apex predators and remained so until the Carboniferous period.
6) Latimeria is a living coelacanthiform fish. The youngest fossilized coelacanthiforms were found in Maastrichtian sediments, indicating a gap in fossil record of 66 million years.
7) The last geomagnetic reversal occurred before Homo sapiens evolved.
8) Formed as a result of powerful eruptions in central Pangea about 201.4 million years ago, the Central Atlantic magmatic province originally occupied an area larger than modern Australia.
9) People began using glue and brewing beer before the Holocene epoch.
10) We still don't know when the first insects appeared. One molecular analysis suggests they may have appeared in the Early Ordovician or even Cambrian. A gap of about 100 million years is in the history of insects in that case.
And here is Rutiodon, a phytosaur from the Norian age.
Truly Bizzare.... it seems so odd when happens to other species LØL
Fight in the comments >:D

What would you do
Earth was formed 4.5 billion years ago and few years later... a hypothetical mars sized planet called theia crashed onto earth
Ok lets just fast forward....
So... yeah 3.7 billion years ago was the time of the primordial soup... later life began as micro organisms, this is where our story begins...
Here at the cambrian period 521-485 mya
Is where strange creatures roam & lurk
A pikaia is actively swimming about reaching lengths about 1.5-6 cm, it's body is somewhat eel-like and flattened sides
A group Trilobites are walking on the sea floor when an anomalocaris swims right over them.
Anomalocaris are shrimp-like predators biting on trilobites while most survived it encountered another anomalocaris then both duel & fight (yea it's like that clip from water dwellers again but the fight is different)
They bite eachother wounding, pushing one into a solid surface & disturbing the haikouichthys without even knowing untill they stop & go back to their daily lives...
Some zhongjianichthys are swimming like modern bottom sea dwellers when encountered a wiwaxia. these things are spiny animals about 5cm long when fully grown. they also have 8 rows of scelrites which are ribbed armor scales laying flat againts the body overlapped.
But these species are not safe from the cambrian-ordovician extinction event. it's concluded that it may have been caused by lack of oxygen & poisonous hydrogen sulphide
Reducing most trilobites & killed many brachiopods & conodonts.
The trilobites survived, we entered the ordovician...
This series was inspired by @Nizaluddin mesozoic world but i made it slightly original thanks to the original documentary series
This is the first half of the timeline pages, so decide: is it accurate, outdated, or just dead wrong according to modern science?
Are creatures from the paleozoic era and cenozoic era alowed here

This is the last Cambrian Month post I'm making. So let's talk about the Cambrian period, it's a very interesting period, life was testing different adaptations to survive in the world, and ever creature looks nothing like the ones from today yet are so similar at the same time
The winds blow on the barren lands, and the seas brim with life. Multiple time portals appear and 16 animals from the Cambrian come out and they started to fight.
Starting off, Cambroraster was flipped over by Haikouichthys, he soon died of starvation
Tamisiocaris caught and ate Myllokunmingia
History repeats itself, even if it's just a minute old, as Lyarapax caught Pikaia
Lyarapax receives instant Karma when Redlichia attacked and killed it somehow. It also killed Haikouichthys in the process
Houcaris crushed Petoia
Redlichia is on a kill streak, this time it killed Tamisiocaris, how is it killing so many predators? We'll never know
Hurdia killed the more famous Radiodont, Anomolocaris
Opabinia grabbed Hallucigenia and got spiked. And just when it thought it was safe, it was attacked by Zhongjianichthys
Amplectobelua was killed by none other than Redlichia
And our final 5 creatures:
Hurdia, A somewhat well known Radiodont
Houcaris, I have no idea what it looks like
Zhongjianichthys, You've never heard of this one(Unless you're Palaeontologica)
Redlichia, A murderer
Wiwaxia, Who's just been sitting there the whole time
Zhongjianichthys dug a hole inside Hurdia, killing the Radiodont
Houcaris was gonna kill Wiwaxia, but the latter died of old age, what a Chad.
Houcaris received instant Karma as it was sliced by the one and only Redlichia
Down to the final two, Zhongjianichthys(The obscure one) and Redlichia(The New apex predator)
And no surprise, Redlichia slices through Zhongjianichthys
Redlichia wins!
The Earth at the time
The Cambrian Period is the period known for the first large animals, life started off as small single celled animals but around 600 Million a years ago, that all changed. At this time the Earth was more Ocean than now,It was 97% water compared to our 70%.The small amount of land was comprised of desert, devoid of life. However, the Seas were full of life.
Life
The animals of the Cambrian were soley sea animals, not even Semi-Aquatic(Which we will see later),they were only invertebrates and some fish species.
The first Apex Predators existed, the Ratiodonts.
Anomalocaris ruled Canada, this Meter long invertebrate had stereoscopic vision making it see in 360 vision. It had armor as well as long, crushing tooth like protrusions.
In China it’s relative Lenisicaris ruled,it was only about 50 centimeters long with some notable differences.
Many other weird animals existed, among the most common were Trilobites, over 1,000 were found.
Finally,Pikaia, the first vertebrate, was around,530 Million a years ago,he is the Great Grand Daddy of our modern vertebrates.
Extinction
The extinction’s cause is unknown unlike the final 3 extinctions in the history of the Earth.Based on the Ordovician starting the Sea Scorpion’s reign and the start of the giant Orthicones,it seems like they outcompeted the Anomalocarids.
For the 2nd day of Cambrian month,we are going to talk about the apex predator that ruled the seas.
