Australia, a place filled with many amazing organisms, and equally dangerous ones. This hasn't changed for the last 90 million years, during the Late Cretaceous. We see a male Australovenator resting in the shade. This is The Land Down Under.
Intro rolls
Australovenator, the apex predator around these parts. We aren't sure what it was related to. Currently it sits in Megaraptora. The Australovenator gets up and drinks some water.
Moving on to a female Australotitan in a heard.
Australotitan is the largest Dinosaur you could find in this time and place. Like many of the other continents, Australia too had giant Titanosaurs roaming around. Cinematography time. This heard migrated here in search of food and shelter. The rest of the scene is just Cinematography.
A Ferrodraco flies by the heard which is also our last animal.
Ferrodraco is medium sized Pterosaur. He is an Anhanguerid, a group including the famous Tropeognathus.
We see a younger Ferrodraco land for some water. The land is much more dangerous than the skies, if you don't keep an eye out, you'll be gone. The Australovenator jumps on the Ferrodraco and kills it.
Some time passes and the Australovenator lays down to sleep. Being a predator, Australovenator needs rest so it could have power to hunt.
We see the Australotitan heard again. It was recently mating season, now the females are laying their eggs. The female from earlier lays some eggs. Sauropods gather together to lay eggs, more eggs, more likely chance for more survivers.
Some time passes and we see the babies hatch. It's time for the hatching. As babies, sauropods are the size of a human hand. They lots of plants every day to grow larger. Cinematography time.
Being this small, the babies are easy meal for predators. The Ferrodraco snatches one and the Australovenator also gets a few. Luckily their numbers mean a balanced population.
Next we see the Ferrodraco chilling in a cave. Down on the land their is many risks, but in a high cliff like this, Pterosaurs are safe.
Australia was and is a fascinating place. With every beauty, there is danger. We see cinematography of all the animals we saw. Ferrodraco gives one more sound
End credits roll
Reptiles dominated the land and the skies in the Mesozoic, but they also roamed the oceans. Next time, we'll be visiting North America, to see the beautiful yet deadly aquatic life. An Elasmosaurus catches a fish
