Just a heads-up; this is a speculative evolution contest I wanted to make. This is also inspired by @SuperiorTonkAlt2 and some of @Rexyisdebest with one of his posts.
The activity I want you guys to make a speculative formation with speculative dinosaurs/prehistoric creatures from the Mesozoic Era, however, there are a few guidelines to this.
Rule 1: Do not fill your formation with Megatheropods. 1-4 Megatheropods is fine, I guess, but anything exceeding that amount will be seen as too many Megatheropods.
Rule 2: Do not make your speculative dinosaurs in your speculative formation overkill. An example can be crocodile/alligator-like osteoderms on a dinosaur you're making, that only applies to the armoured dinosaurs/creatures in your formation like Ankylosaurids, and you also have to make sure to be careful not to add crazy-ass spikes on your armoured dinosaur. Armoured Sauropods are fine, as long as it's similar to the likes of Ampelosaurus. Titanosaurs with osteoderms are fine as long as the Titanosaur has osteoderms similar to those seen on Alamosaurus paleo-art. The only kinds of osteoderms that are prohibited are ones similar to those of crocodiles, alligators, caimans, or gharials. The kinds of osteoderms that are allowed however are ones similar to those of Komodo dragon osteoderms, small ridges Leather-back sea turtles or Soft-shelled turtles, the boney ridges seen on chameleons. In other words for this rule: avoid making your dinosaur awesome bro.
Rule 3: Critiquing someone's formation is fine as long as you keep it respectful. Don’t be a rude asshole and just try ruin the fun for everyone, it’s just asking to act immature and cause problems/drama for people who want to have a good time and have fun.
Rule 4: Don't post your submissions on this post, this is the post if you want to join the contest. Post your submissions on a separate post I'll be making, the other post I'll be making will be the post where you can show your submissions, I will also make the post tomorrow by the way. After a few days, I'll make a poll and you can vote for the formation that you like.
Rule 5: You don't have to draw your submissions if you don't want to, HOWEVER, if you do not want to draw the submission you have made of your speculative formation, you can ask me if you want me to draw the submission you've made, you don't have to ask me if you don't want to either.
Rule 6: You can make more than 1 submission, HOWEVER, the maximum amount of submissions you can make is only 1-3 submissions. If you want to make more than 3 submissions, let's say 4, you need to make sure that your 4th formation is not a submission.
Rule 7: If you have a question. You can ask me in the comments.
Rule 8: Good luck and have fun.
And for the second rule, the osteoderms seen on Alamosaurus in paleo-art, this is what I mean.
Art is by MoArtProductions on Deviant art btw. Anyway, have fun and good luck with the contest.
