Gorgosaurus(if good) is always a bit blue
Zuul is always green
Apparently every Minecraft Achillobator that is released is the freaking JP3 Raptors
Ok I don't have any more so if you guys want to share you can say some
(Ida is not real, the event that happened in this story did not happen. This is a realistic interpretation of a "What If...?", it is not meant to demoralize the real paleontologists who make real breakthrough discoveries)
Ida the Tyrannosaurus
On April 16th, 2022, Paleontologist Jay Norman and Paleoartist Edward Kohler were trying to find Stygimoloch (Pachycephalosaurus spinifer) fossils in Hell’s Creek, Montana. However, after a hot day, Norman tripped on a rock sticking out of the ground, Kohler identified it as a fossil, possibly of Nanuqsaurus or another medium theropod. As they carefully dug it out, they found it was a small fragment of a Tyrannosaurid jaw. They carefully dug further, finding more possible fragments, before fining the entire rest of the skull, and a destroyed neck vertebra. It was intensely miraculous that this skull had been merely fragmented and not destroyed, as carbon dating put the fossil at about 65.8 million years ago. However, after scanning the fossils on Blender and then putting the digital fossils together, they found that the jaws of the Tyrannosaurid were destroyed. There were heavy outdents, possibly caused by a tree or a Ceratopsid horn puncture. They found out that a team 4 miles north found a huge Triceratops horridus specimen and wanted to double-check. So using Blender, they fitted the Triceratops horn through the bottom jaw; too big. Then they tried the puncture that broke the top jaw and snout; perfect fit. But something bothered Norman, the other puncture wound. The Triceratops’ horn was too big to fit the hole. Luckily, a few months later, the same team found a nest of Triceratops specimens, and a juvenile had a broken frill. Then, the adult next to it (possibly the mother), had a chip in her left horn. The same Blender process was used, yadda yadda yadda, it was a fit. That team was Astrid Olsson and Rocco Abate, two European paleontologists who were investigating Triceratops behavioral patterns, trying to see if they truly could be in huge herds as shown in media.
A Tyrannosaurid injured from two Triceratops? This wasn’t a coincidence, it was a revolutionary find. Not only did this prove that Triceratops engaged with Tyrannosaurids, but it proved that Tyrannosaurids hunted, disproving Jack Horner. Additionally, even though speculated, this proved that Triceratops at least, worked together. The amount of bone healing, trying to merge the dispersed part of bones with the rest of the jaws, put both injuries about 2 months before the specimen’s death. At first, Korman illustrated it as Nanuqsaurus hoglundi, but the size of the specimen made it out to likely be of the Tyrannosaurus species, likely Tyrannosaurus rex. But when another, more informative Paleontologist, Paleontologist Matt Broker, a Tyrannosaur expert investigated the specimen, he deducted it to be Tyrannosaurus mcraeensis, not Tyrannosaurus rex. And the specimen was female. Broker could tell from the smoothed-out cheekbones, snout, brows, and less pronounced jaw edges. Broker put the animal to be about 13 years old, a late subadult or early adult. Seeing as the animal had, likely perished from combat, Broker suggested the name “Ida” referencing Ida the primate, who was the “missing link” in our evolution, like how Ida’s discovery had led to several scientific confirmations. The European team decided to name their specimens Andre, a homage to Andre the Giant, for the alpha, who was estimated to be around 10 feet tall and 30 feet long. The mother Trike was nicknamed Minerva. And the juvenile was named Mary.
At Andre's Stronghold, a site once thought to be a rushing river, there were several prints of footprints, from Triceratops horridus to Tyrannosaurus mcraeensis. Several skeletons have been found, there was a hip fragment, thought to belong to Tyrannosaurus rex, but with Ida's presence, it was likely Tyrannosaurus mcraeensis. There are a confirmed 4 Tyrannosauridae fragments in Adre's Stronghold. There are a confirmed 2 Triceratops, and 5 unknown specimens, known as "Andre's Ghosts".
Ida was thought to have originated from a nest found in west Montana in the Rockies in 2018, putting her life at 65.8 mya, fitting the nest and her fossils. Her age matched the uranium-lead dating of those eggshells. Ida was about 4.8 meters tall, and about 12 meters long. She weighed about 5.9 metric tons. Ida’s famous encounter was thought to have occurred when Ida was looking for food, and found a Triceratops herd. Ida possibly tried singling out a youngster, probably only 2 at the time of this incident, but the mother Trike defensively thrusted her horn through Ida’s bottom jaw. As Ida, reeling, (evidenced by fossilized footprints) tried to retreat, the Alpha, Andre the Giant came and trusted his horn through the other side of Ida’s face, specifically her top jaw. Ida was forced to retreat. This major injury would’ve put it so Ida couldn’t eat, and starved, but because her injuries show her bones healing for at least two months, that’s not the case. It is likely Ida scavenged at this point, slowly losing her body weight while eating very small amounts of flesh. During this time, Ida lost about 1/3 of her body weight, only weighing about 3.6 metric tons. A scar across her brow and snout were matched with the sickle claw of a dromaeosaurid, possibly Dakotaraptor stieni or Achillobator giganticus. There were likely multiple specimens, as even though Ida was starving, she wasn’t weak. She likely held her own for a bit before finally succumbing to the onslaught.
Some things that Norman and Kohler couldn’t figure out were if Ida was injured in her torso or legs at all, what she’d been eating leading up to her death, as anything past her neck was destroyed or moved away via erosion and tectonic activity. Or, if she’d managed to kill any of the dromaeosaurs, as there aren’t any nearby fossils supporting this, the only clues to a dromaeosaur even being involved are the two scars. She couldn't have been attacked by Andre near her legs or chest though, as these would be fatal blows, and she couldn't have survived for two months. At most, she had a puncture on her tail.
(Thanks @Tyranno Imperrium1 for the Idea)

Blood Warning ig
So it's been like over a month since i last posted a Paleo Isles episode, i'm just in hiatus.
Sometime after her fight againts utahraptor, Achillobator now has several noticable scars, each on her face and neck, her right arm is partially amputated. Achillobator's feathers became messy.
(basically the Paleo Isles Achillobator after her battle with utahraptor)
It's midnight. Achillobator wakes up from the river in a deep canyon, she suffered but her wounds were slowly healing. small fishes swimming past her. the raptor wanders around, confused. Achillobator watches a dead fish being eaten by a crocodilian for a while. Achillobator then looks up at the top of the canyon wondering how she'll get out back to the forest except she's just stuck there. Achillobator now has to get used to living in this new enviorment. Achillobator later looks at her faint reflection on the water and thinks back to when she's just a hatchling. now Achillobator is a sub-adult, having to fending for herself againts other fellow carnivores.
Achillobator rest near the water while another crocodilian, a few water snakes, and several fish swims past her, she looks at the sky and questions her past.
The next day, at dawn. Achillobator had a lil short fight with a water snake that somewhat interrupted her peace. the snake then gets thrown across the river.
Meanwhile, Evil pterosaur traverses through a semi-arid area, that is until he unexpectedly stumble aross utahraptor from a distance, both are not aware of eachother. however, utah's intimidating presence gives Evil pterosaur a sense of fear for the first (and only) time.
And this is where another fight begins...
Utahraptor rushes towards Evil pterosaur before the mist could rapidly kick Utahraptor in the face, Utahraptor bites Evil pterosaur in his already injured "wing" but Evil pterosaur rapidly kicked Utahraptor right in the face before he could rip Evil pterosaur's "wing" off. Evil pterosaur tries to escape but Utahraptor got him in the "leg" then tossed him across the place. Evil pterosaur stands up but because of all the things that happened in the previous arc, he can't catch a break. Evil pterosaur hits Utahraptor with a slash. Evil pterosaur hits Utahraptor on the head before Utah could barely step back and attacked Evil pterosaur in the "leg". Evil pterosaur screeches in pain. fighting back, inflicting several wounds to Utahraptor with his sharp "talons"
As Evil pterosaur tries to fly away. Utahraptor starts the chase. Evil pterosaur got grasp on a rodent and throws it at Utah's face but the raptor caught it anyway, they both go straight towards a dead cedarosaurus, Utahraptor runs over it, nearly attacking Evil pterosaur before the mist falls down to the ground due to his injury, continuing their fight.
Utahraptor was about to attack Evil pterosaur with his sickle claw in a similar way to what he did to Achillobator but Evil pterosaur quickly dodges anyway and hits him with another rapid kick, Utahraptor grasp onto Evil pterosaur while Evil pterosaur screeched at Utahraptor, both tumbled during the fight, Evil pterosaur kicks Utahraptor onto a nearby tree trunk, giving Evil pterosaur enough time to escape.
Utahraptor later gives up and goes elsewhere, only to see a herd of cedarosaurus coming next to the dead one. Utahraptor gets confused what they are doing.

@Gojiraptor rex (don't even know why you asked for ping but here ya go ig)
Seen these kinds of drawings "mostly" on ibispaint which inspired me to make THIS.
(the Forest Raptor arc from Paleo Isles continues)
As Achillobator starts wandering around the forest, she randomly stumbled apon a few hatchlings being attacked by repenomamus. Achillobator witnessed it all and start to reminisce yet she never really said anything, she just stood there. Achillobator quietly approached repenomamus, the raptor later stares at repenomamus.
Achillobator goes for a stroll through the forest when another raptor suddenly ambushed at Achillobator from the bush, she nearly avoided. but now has a small wound on her right arm, the ambusher was utahraptor...
Achillobator: CRAP!
Utahraptor: so we finally meet... Achillobator.
Achillobator: i don't even care what the hell is going on, even as a fellow raptor.
The two raptors clashed, battling it out using their sickle claws. as they fight, Utahraptor quickly bit off Achillo's arm while Achillobator slashed right onto Utah's left eye, before Utahraptor could attack back at Achillo, she lashes at Utahraptor, biting him near the throat but got hit by Utahraptor in the face.
Achillobator becomes desperate yet she continued fighting, her sickle claw hit Utah's left arm but Utahraptor nearly avoided, slashing his sickle claws at Achillo's face causing a large wound on her upper and lower jaw. Utahraptor kicked Achillobator in the face. Achillobator then falls off a waterfall and onto a river in a deep canyon, somewhat ended the battle.
Sometime later after their battle, utahraptor watches a small herd cedarosaurus from a distance.
Utahraptor: so it's just that.

WARNING: BLOOD, GORE
As pyroraptor continued following Evil pterosaur through the dense forest. it spots a carcass of another large raptor but it seems really off... pyroraptor gets really anxious and ran onto Evil pterosaur. several birds flew through the trees. they fell near a long yet narrow river in the forest, pyroraptor preens it's feathers. Evil pterosaur gets up then stares at pyroraptor "i don't get why is this following me..." Evil pterosaur looks around the forest for a while, several small rodents are running past by and hide in their burrows. pyroraptor walks up to Evil pterosaur and questions the dark mist, to which Evil pterosaur never really said anything, instead just he just rest there. pyroraptor notices a dead rodent in the river with bite marks, pyroraptor picks it up and slightly tilt it's head.
Somewhere else in the forest, Achillobator chases down a young Gobihadros, seperated from the herd. Achillobator swifty moves, bites the gobihadros in the throat and used her sickles claw, tearing apart the helpless young animal...
Sometime later, Achillobator looks at her faint reflection in the water, then she goes to cleans off the blood on her face and claws. the fallen leaves suddenly started rustling, the sound of the winds. Achillobator looks up at the frightened birds flying above her. Achillobator doesn't know whats going on...
This marks another new story arc in the Paleo Isles series... the Forest Raptor arc

I wanted to write more to this yet i feel like i'm out of writing ideas, thanks for reading anyway.
Would an A. giganticus be equipped to kill a grounded C. atrox?
M. parkeri size?
Did I. challengeri seriously have a split jaw and pelican pouch?
Would an adult S. aegyptiacus be able to ambush and kill a sub-adult T. mcraensis?
Ignore how I called it Achilloraptor, it’s midnight.
rare triple lynx post, I apologize deeply for what I have bestowed, here’s a ukulele
This is the first part, if you don’t like it or you have something against what I say just tell me in the comments (same thing if you actually like this)
Aardonyx fans knowing damn well it is only known for having double A at the start of its name
Abelisaurus fans when the whole family is named after their favorite dino and they still have no body skeleton of it
Abrictosaurus (“wakeful lizard”) fans doing the “stay awake” challenge to be like their favorite dino (the name is probably inaccurate but they don’t care)
Abrosaurus fans finding out their scientific name is after a person named Su Shi
Abydosaurus fans when no one talks about how complete it is for being a sauropod
Acanthopholis being found once in 1867 and then being forgotten for 150 years
Achelousaurus fans holding back their soul from screaming “Achelousaurus” whenever someone says they have a head-ache (ok I had no idea what to put in this one tbh)
Me omw to completely destroy an Achillobator (“Achilles hero”) fan’s heel (canon event)
Acristavus (“non-crested grandfather”) fans being the literal definition of old because of a single found skull (what the hell paleontology)
Acrocanthosaurus fans explaining why it’s the coolest theropod ever (they are not completely wrong tho)
This is it for now, 10 memes every post. Tell me your favorite or if you would put something else in some of these, and if I should make longer posts instead (I tried my best with this one)
Mild gore in this I think. locc if necessary
"A drake? This far inland?" I asked the scouts.
"Yes," replied Rami, the tallest one. "A drake. Scales. Two massive legs. Larger than any dire beasts or cockatrices we've ever seen."
I breathed in and out, trying to process the information. Drakes were dangerous. With multiple types, they are diverse and deadly creatures. Kings of their lands, even the strongest warrior would not be able to face a drake head on.
"What kind? Traits?"
"Grey and green scales(Author note: Based on the 6th image here). Medium sized arms. Large head. We think it's a Great Drake."
"Organize the Beast Slayers. We have something to get rid of. Permanently."
____________________
Heading through the underbrush wasn't as hard as locating the drake. Who knew that a giant scaled beast was so stealthy? I glanced around and looked at the other 6 warriors. I signaled to them to come closer as I pointed at something.
A drake footprint.
"We have found a lead. Let's go!"
I started walking as the others followed behind me. Leon moved up next to me.
"Boss, are you sure this is a good idea? Drakes are able to wipe out whole platoons."
"If they're facing them head on," I reply. "Since we're going to ambush it, we have the ability for free damage."
He looked like he was about to respond, but from the trees emerged a phoenix. The phoenix pounced on one of the men and ripped off his back plate before digging into his spine with its claws. The creature's red head was stained with blood as it tore skin and muscle off. (Author note: Based on this)
Leon and I grabbed our swords and prepared to charge as it sniffed the air and ran away, leaving one half dead member. I turned to see where the others were to bloodshed.
One was snapped in two, intestines flaring out. Another stabbed through the chest by a misplaced sword. One thrown to the ground and a ripped off arm. The last not having a head as it was swallowed by the great drake.
It turned and faced me and Leon. I turned to him and nodded. We were going to have a last stand against this creature that effortlessly wiped out the platoon. I ran towards it.

So, I could not post yesterday, because of my phone dying. I'll fill all of you in today, and yes, I am still alive. What happened was we got on the roof of the school, after I saw a group of people break into the school with weapons from the vents. If you want to know what happened, go to my last post.
We spent the night on the roof, no Azdarchids attacked us, I don't know where the one that was in the window went, but we saw something very strange. Lights in the sky.. @Ankysareawesome suggested it might have been a firefly like animal, but I don't think it is.
The reason I think that, is because they were darting around the sky faster than most planes I have seen. And then, to my confusion, I saw two fighter jets fly over us, and towards the lights. Both of the planes fired missiles, and then the lights vanished after the missile hit them, causing a massive explosion, and something to go spiraling into the ground. At least that means that we are fighting back, but what were the lights?
We slept, and we woke up at probably around 4-5 AM, and decided since the school was not safe anymore, we would cut across the woods behind my school, and then go to my house, which is not far across the woods. Maybe 300-500 feet of woods at most. We jumped off the roof (only one story.) Then, we realized that there were two, smaller, but still dangerous creatures that looked like the Utah raptor we had seen in the school. We didnt stick around to find out if they were friendly. Picture below:
We sprinted into the woods. They were right behind us, but we had the advantage of knowing the terrain. The only reason Sam and I were able to escape them were because we both knew there was a log strong enough to support two teenagers, but not for anything heavier above a creek. The creek, though, is in a small ravine, which is around 9-12 feet deep, and is filled with sharp rocks. When we got across, the raptor looking thing tried to chase after us, and the log snapped, and it tumbled into the rocks. I don't know if that killed it, I havent checked the creek to see, but it definetly hurt it.
We managed to get inside my house before the second raptor thing got to us. Thomas and London had already got into the house before us, since they are way faster than both of us. That was yesterday. Today, not much has happened. I've seen a few small feathered dinosaurs running around in the woods behind my house, but that's it. We have plenty of food, and water is still running, so we have a good amount of that. We also have boarded up windows and doors, so we are pretty safe in here. Just an update, if you have any advice or tips or anything, feel free to tell us.
