Abelisaurus

Got bored and wanted some variety in my sketchbook instead of full/half animals. Decided to draw nine abelisaur skulls and their life-depictions (largely to test my skull-drawing skills).

Carcharodontosaurs are next

I had an idea about a speculative evolution for abelisaurid dinosaurs. Call me crazy but...

I think that this type of dinosaur would have left the front limbs in favor of greater agility and flexibility, something like snakes.

Think about it: Why have hands, when you have an effective bite and BIG LEGS for speed?

So I created a speculative species to give you an idea of ​​what I'm talking about (you can make art of this dinosaur if you want) (no color btw)

Acristavus (“non-crested grandfather”) fans being the literal definition of old because of a single found skull (what the hell paleontology)

Acrocanthosaurus fans explaining why it’s the coolest theropod ever (they are not completely wrong tho)

These large abelisaurs measured in at around 7 Meters long and 1.5 Tons,this animal was likely a secondary predator to Aerosteon,probably hunting smaller animals while the Megaraptoran was a macropredator.

So far only a skull is known,although it is longer and shorter than other Abelisaurids
