I love Smilodon and the Dire Wolves, but Homotherium is comparatively underrated

I like Homotherium, but I'm a sucker for Sabre-Teeth and Short-Faced Bears.

“Short-faced bear” refers to a subfamily of bears that includes the spectacled bear and several extinct genera. I’m guessing you’re referring to Arctodus.

^ Well, Arctodus is the only short-faced bear from La Brea.

Just like there's many species of Smilodon across the continent, but La Brea only has S. fatalis.
