We should do something about this, it's driving me nuts. There are too much scientific classifications. We might probably use the templates Animals (and Plants) at this point.

That's important information, I'm sorry but we're not getting rid of the taxobox
Well, the taxobox is complicated so if it's not going anywhere, might as well fix it.
Fix what
The taxobox template, obviously. By the way, the species parameter is unnecessary because we have a type species.
Type species is for the single species the genus was described with. The species box is for any additional species besides the type.
Okay. But i also feel that the Chordata and Eukaryote articles are not needed. And is it necessary that the taxobox should match that of Wikipedia?
Again, just because you find something too complicated doesn't mean it's not needed, there are tons of people who need to quickly find the scientific classification for a specific creature and the taxobox is a good way to find that info
OK yeah, the pages for chordates and eukaryotes are unnecessary, I agree
Also what do you want us to do if the taxobox matches Wikipedia? The classification doesn't change depending on what website your viewing
I was thinking that it could look like the Animals template. Just a thought.
What do you think?
