I don't think spinosaurus was specialized for any specific niche and was rather a generalist.

Well, no Spinosaurus itself does definetely appear to be more specialized than something like a Baryonyx or Suchomimus, but i still wouldn’t call it the MOST specialized dinosaur.

^^I meanyeah it definitely has more adaptations but I was saying more like the ecosystem niche.

Anyway, I don’t think it was any more specialized than other Spinosaurids. And I think Spinosaurids were only as specialized as storks are.

No i mean, Baryonyx was found with remains of Iguanodon. That plus it’s more conventional theropod body plan does make me think it and it’s relatives were less specialized than spinosaurines.
