Wait for JWE 3, it has tons more creative options for park building, compared to JWE 2. JWE 2 also has a way too easy and way too short of a campaign, chaos theory doesn't really make up for the base game campaign that much, and the DLC campaigns are mostly OK, but still inferior to the JWE 1 campaign

If you want to buy for the mods than go ahead, ever since the game stopped getting updates, mod developers started going crazy, there's 1000s of mods, some that change the game completely to something closer in quality to JWE 3, though, the JWE 2 mods will most definitely will be blown out of the park with all the new possibilities mod makers might get in JWE 3

The only advantage JWE 2 has over JWE 3 from what we've seen so far is that JWE 3 has only 86 species including the deluxe edition, while JWE 2 has 122 with all the DLCs

Yeah, JWE 3 seems like a much bigger leap from JWE2, than JWE2 was from JWE. Also when all the DLC's for the 3rd one come around it'll probably have more species.

I think I will get it though, just because it's on a big sale. Based on what Steam is saying JWE3 will cost double of what I can get JWE2 with all DLC's included for right now, so I'll be waiting for a sale to come around.

If you get all the DLCs, you'll have WAY more species to work with, so it's best to get JWE2, because JWE3 will have less species than the JWE2 base game.

It depends, do you care more about the dinosaurs or the gameplay? If you want lots of dinosaurs then just get JWE2 (although, it’s pretty expensive with the dlcs). But if you’re more interested in the building experience, then wait for JWE3, because those building tools are going to be wayyyyyyy better.

At least that’s my opinion on the situation.
