Not everyone in the world when they think Dino go “ooo, T.Rex” some like myself used to think Triceratops or Allosaurus when I was a kid, and I name Spinosaurus off the top my before T.Rex, and there are probably people in the world who do the same.

T.Rex is popular cause it was overused, to such a point that unless something has T.Rex, most people aren’t gonna watch a Dinosaur show or movie, even if it’s Good.

So there is being popular, and than there is being an overused show pony.

U have to realize there is a reason for being a show pony. People didn't just go oh how bout this one. And when i meant people i meant most people. also if u look at rex outside of its show ponyness(idk if thats a word) u see why its the absolute GOAT! I will not stand for the rex slander.

You will get more Rex Slander… It’s really nothing special, generic Dinosaurs are only generic cause T.Rex was generic first, since the early 1900’s to now even for the New Jurassic World Movie The T.Rex has been used for something, literally overused to the point I bet most people won’t even watch anything Dino related unless there’s even like one small part of T.Rex in it. T.Rex has not only become the poster child for Generic Dinosaur’s, but has become an Overused Show Pony.

And what’s really sad that if they decided to use any other Dinosaur discover at that time or before like Megalosaurus and used it like they used T.Rex, T.Rex would just become another mid tier Dinosaur in Media and Megalosaurus would become The Generic Dinosaur, The Poster Child, The Overused Show Pony.

T.Rex is cool don’t get me wrong but I have always found other dinosaurs more cool like Allosaurus and Spinosaurus. The Fact is T.Rex is so known that most people would probably see something that would like similar like a Tarbosaurus or a Daspletosaurua and without knowing it’s actually name would probably call it a T.Rex, and it’s even so well known at this point in Paleontology that literally only thing we are learning now is how these things could actually get bigger and how T.Rex became T.Rex, we literally know everything about so there’s no real mystery to it like with Spinosaurus.

T.Rex is cool but overused a-lot, is the poster child for generic Dinosaur’s, is a bench mark, and is an overused show pony.

^^yes it is cool,cooler than all others. What does megalosaurus have! It's a cool dino but not to rex. Allosaurus is cool and all with its crest and it can open its mouth really wide but that's it. Spino changes every month so I hate it(jk I just get tired of it :). Tarbo is just a smaller slender rex. Daspleto is the thing that became rex. I know I'm glazing but hey it deserves the glazing. There are reasons some things are overused,like rex,cuz its the goat! Even in fucking 1930 it was used. Tell me if all these dinos are cooler than rex why in their early days not replace rex. Allo was discovered in what 1877. If its cooler why did rex get more popular,spino I can see why,u know the bombings. Megalosaurus was the first dinosaur discovered yet rex became more popular! and why is that? cuz its just better. The reason it gets hate today is from people who realize other dinos are cool(which is true,I admit it) and cuz it is slightly overused. I admit that. not everything needs rex in it. But that is no reason to hate it or to give it slander. I admit allo is cool. I'd love la doc on the morrison instead of hell creek formation or on one of the whatever thousand Chinese formations with perfect preservation. there was a time that I almost lost my passion for dinos cuz I always drew rex and I got bored,now that I have started actually learning about dinos again and watching vids and drawing other dinos I feel better. But still that is no reason to hate my glorious king!

T.Rex is mid, nothing really special.

Like literally name one thing special about

”It has Eye Crests” Most Tyrannosaurs in the Cretaceous have Eye Crests.

”It has a bulky build” most large Tyrannosaurus have a similar build

”It has a strong bite” Most Tyrannosaurs have powerful bites, and even that strength, it’s not even the most lethal, that goes to Allosaurs.

Pretty much there’s nothing really special about T.Rex, anything special about it can be found in other Tyrannosaurs, and some are even better, the only thing that can really be said to be uniquely special to T.Rex is it size and bite, but even than T. Mcraensis is almost an equal to those just in a leaner yet still bulky and strong body.

T.Rex is not special.

And there’s being overused, than there’s being overused so much that anything without T.Rex wouldn’t even get a 3rd of the attention something with T.Rex would get.

And when I used Megalosaurus as an example, I was saying that if they chooses Megalosaurus or Allosaurus for anything that T.Rex was once in, they would be the popular one’s and T.Rex would be another sidelined Dinosaur.

Literally only reason it was chosen is because it was bigger, nothing more, nothing less.

Bro did not just mangle those facts, First off the allo does not have a more lethal bite. Second its bite is bone crushing> the only animal I'm aware of that has a worse bit is the damn megalodon. And most tyrannosaurs don't. Have u seen a tarbo and that's not why its popular. Who said anything about eye crests. Like he forgot,infrasound,its eyesight,its fucking sense of smell and even intelligence. What r u on. no one said anything about its eye crests,or its build. U just misrepresented half of its cool facts while leaving out the others. a fucking allo has nothing on rex, sure they can slash but one bite to the neck and its done. oh! he also forgot that all its fucking horrors can combine with the fact that it prolly at least hunted in pairs. and it's more special than say Alberto bc of everything rex already has. My friend idk what u got against rex,but just bc its overused doesn't mean u should hate. Again,if allo is so cool and better than rex why did rex take over its popularity
