^^The only Late Cretaceous Stegosaurs afaik are Dravidosaurus and Deltapodus(both from India). Dravido could just be a Plesiosaur, its classification is very iffy, and Deltapodus is just an ichnogenus and there's not much we can go off of.

I think stegosaurs just petered out naturally, like most Late Jurassic fauna

They most likely became extinct due to climate change. Another reason was their slowness, which also caused some sauropods, such as Diplodocus, to become extinct.

Idk if slowness would be a factor, as speed wouldn’t matter if one is armed to the teeth. Otherwise the Ankylosaurs would not have prospered in the Stegosaurs place

I think they meant slowness as in incapability to adapt fast to changing environments
