Siren is another original character for my Speckles 2 rewrite. She is part of Skal the Saurophaganax's Rogue Wonderers team and is one of only two females who are on the team.
Siren is a Ceratosaurus Terminas, which translates to "Horn Lizard Triple Threat" She has two crests near her eyes, decorative dots on her crests, and her face is adorned with splotches. She has small spikes on her head and back, small osteoderms, and unlike a real Ceratosaurus, Siren actually does have a horn and it's the one on the front. She uses her horn to stab opponents while her crests are used to push them.
She was named Siren because of her loud roars. She is the scout of the Rogue Wonderers, which means that she's the one who does the surveillance and tracking. And when she finds something of interest, she roars to signal to her team.
However, Siren isn't like the rest of the Rogue Wonderers. She is far more considerate than they are and doesn't like how they plan to enslave Speckles' valley and make every animal bend to their will since it's not necessary in her eyes.
Which is why she betrays Skal later on in the story and warns the animals of the valley about the Saurophaganax's true intentions which leads to some of the valley's residents to rally up against the Rogue Wonderers.
After Skal is killed, Speckles allows Siren to live in the valley. And she mostly spends her days sleeping and exploring when she's not hunting.
