By this I mean actually invalid genera. Not ones of a genus (like T. imperator) or dubious/controversial animals like Gojirasaurus and Troodon. I mean animals such as Deinodon and Seismosaurus, which have since been completely reclassified.

Would it be possible for those names (or any of an invalid species of the sort) to be placed on a new animal? Or would it not be likely as that could lead to confusion?
