I could definitely see a Shant winning the interaction, whether it be by simply retreating or Giga getting trampled in the chase.

Sure Giga is used to sauropod hunting, but that doesn't mean deaths aren't often for even subadult sauropods during hunts.

Shantungosaurus may be more durable, but in relation to each other's weapons specifically, Giganotosaurus would be more durable because its offensive capabilities are greater than Shant's.

Shantungosaurus is like around the same weight as Paleoloxodon and Diplodocus

That doesn't mean that the Giga is more durable, it just means that it has greater offense.
