A few weeks ago high command got some reports that there were some attacks in Munich and other places by "extremely large, and extremely hostile animals." I didn't understand what they needed us for.
For context, I am a tanker for the German Army. My friend (The driver of our Leopard 2A4) is fluent in English, so he is writing this. I am the tank gunner. I was confused why they needed a fucking tank to take down some animals. Sounded like overkill.
(Leopard 2A4 for context.)
We follow orders though, we eventually got to Munich. By that time there were more reports of these animal attacks and things were starting to go public. But at this time, these were just rumors, you understand. We were moving through a forest, in a convoy. Some of the Leopard 2A6's ahead of us had reported contact, but the enemy had retreated into the trees.
Leopard 2A6 for context.
Suddenly, we heard many, people sized things fall on top of our tanks. Our commander opened the hatch to see what it was to be met by the face of one of the "Raptors" or so we have been calling them. These were the big ones. He jumped back in the tank instantly. We turned on our overpressure systems, and locked the hatches just so absolutely nothing could get in.
I don't know how the fuck the raptors knew how to do it, but they opened up some of the unlocked hatches on some of the other tanks and went inside and killed the crews. Then, phase two of their ambush on us began.
A Tyrannosaurus Rex came out of the tree line, and attacked the tank in front of us. Goddamn, we are lucky that these fuckers came when we have modern tech, because we would have never survived if we were trying to develop as a civilization with these things around. This Tyrannosaurus single handedly destroyed this Leopard 2A6's cannon barrel.
(This is the most accurate image to what I saw)
We shot it with one of our SABOT rounds in the head. Dropped it, but we had to retreat since most of our convoy was shitting bricks and most of the tanks were gone from the raptors dropping into our tanks.
When we came back from our failed mission, it was public knowledge that dinosaurs are fucking back.
Now, we are fighting for every inch of territory. I don't know how, or why the dinosaurs are making so much progress, and decimating modern armies, I just don't know.
