Now to conclude the 1st Season of Dinopedia Prehistoric Park
The park was currently in a state of repairing damages. After the glitching time portal was finally fully broken by the scutosaurus herd it was decided to do one final trip to the past for the year. But with the rods required to get the time portal working broken they would need to be repaired. But that gave them time to repair the damage done during the chaos that had just happened. The first thing to get done of all things was to replace and/or repair all fences. The start of the repairs was started in April of that year.
7 months later
After 7 months of repairs, replacing and building in the park all the animals can be returned to their home enclosures. During the time of the repairs a few things happened in the park. The first big thing that happened was the egg laying of the female gryposuchus croatzi the park got without intention on bringing it to the present. This made its enclosure the main priority to prevent putting staff at risk of being deemed a threat by the gryposuchus to its eggs.
The second major event was a few different animal species went into breeding season. The most dangerous of these breeding seasons was the camarasaurus breeding season. You see like elephants male sauropods go into musth and this proved very difficult to manage. Due to the size of the camarasaurus and now adding highly aggressive behavior towards all life it almost did the park in. Luckily unlike with elephants sauropods are not in musth as long only about two weeks . But during this time they are highly unpredictable even more so then normal.
The last major event that happened during the months was the fixing of the time portal rods. So to test it they tested it by going back in time to the islands of Mauritius in the 1397. They were after one species the dodo bird. The test went successfully as a dodo was brought back to the present modern day world. Surprisingly it had no fear of humans and even would walk straight up to the humans.
Due to safety concerns and demands by the government all fences had to be replaced with new fences of more durable material than wood except the ankylosaurus enclosure due to it having concrete walls. So the fences were all torn down and replaced with brick and mortar walls instead.
With all animals in the park started to be transported to their home enclosures things were chilling out with only one transport incident. While the gargoylesaurus were being brought to their home enclosure they were accidentally dropped off in the Polacanthus enclosure. Due the staff not realizing that the gargoylesaurus were put in the wrong one initially the two species got along okay. But after a few hours the two species started fighting over space and food. Luckily the fight was seen in security and was immediately dealt with.
But when the expedition team finally started to get things together for the last trip of the year they were able to figure out where. During the building of the new sinotyrannus enclosure they found a large stone spike in the ground. After hiring a paleontologist they ended up digging up a whole complete Kentrosaurus skeleton. They decided to go after animals from the tendaguru formation.
With the park being left in the hands of the security staff, researchers, park rangers and park builders the expedition team left through the time portal. But the park building team figured that the fossil that they paid to get mounted should go into a museum like building they started building the structure which would be dedicated toward the tendaguru formation. Rexyisdebest asked the expedition group to please catch a tendaguripterus or two for a attraction idea they had for the museum.
When the expedition team was getting ready the time portal people were doing a test run on the time portal and they heard a bellow coming from the time portal near the very top of it. They looked up to see a towering sauropod walk through that they first thought was a brachiosaurus. But then they realized it was too tall. Then they thought it was a giraffititan but still thought something seemed off about it but when megalania enthusiast and scarylookinghobo were called to investigate the identity of this sauropod. They went down the list of sauropods from the formation and found the only one that made sense from known species from the formation The Arch Bishop Sauropod. By far it was the largest thing in the park in the park but they realized that containment, transportation and maintaining such a large sauropod would be a nightmare. But they kept it in the park anyway when they thought it would be a big attraction.
So after redirecting the giant sauropod the expedition team went into the past all the way back to the tendaguru formation. When they arrived they were surprised at how many species were able to be seen so easily around the area. The one that caught their eye was a therapod that looked like ceratosaurid but was not a ceratosaurus. But something caught them off guard when they were looking at the ceratosaurid one of the staff all of a sudden went silent in the other jeep as the sound of metal being punctured was heard. The people in the jeep turned around as a Kentrosaurus was about ready to attack the front driver's side door. Like it did the back door resulting in the first death in the park's history. They were able to sedate the Kentrosaurus but were hesitant about staying here because if the herbivores were this aggressive they wondered how aggressive the predators would be. The group decided to bring the Kentrosaurus back to the park and get a not damaged jeep for safety reasons.
When the expedition team returned with the Kentrosaurus they said over the radio that someone died and everyone came to the jeep. Sadly they thought one day this would happen but they wondered why the Kentrosaurus would flat out attack the jeep and they realized that not all herbivores they brought back from the past would be peaceful all the time. They realized it might have been startled. But they decided that the species brought back from this formation from here on out would be monitored.
The expedition team returned to the tendaguru formation and found another one of those ceratosaurids they thought it would be a good next target and followed it back to a kill. But little did they know that the ceratosaurid didn't kill this animal and a shrill screaming noise was heard as a Carcharodontosaurid rammed the ceratosaurid before biting the ceratosaurid's head and sending it into the ground. They realized what was happening a little late and the Carcharodontosaurid quickly went after the team next luckily for them they set up a time portal nearby for the ceratosaurid but used it instead for the Carcharodontosaurid bringing it into the present. Only problem now the Carcharodontosaurid was still agitated once in a holding pen and tried ramming the walls of the pen. Luckily thanks to the overhaul on the fences it was not able to do anything to the walls. A little bit later it was identified as Veterupristisaurus one of the first Carcharodontosaurids.
The team immediately went back to check if the ceratosaurid was still alive and able to be brought back from the past. When they got there the ceratosaurid was back at eating the dead dinosaur. So the team was successful in bringing back the ceratosaurid. The team was having a lot of trouble identifying the species in the present. Until they considered tooth taxon animals as a possibility. After comparing the ceratosaurids teeth to the tooth of the tooth taxon Ostafrikasaurus it was finally identified.
They returned to the tendaguru formation and stumbled across a injured animal. At first thought to just leave it. But Concaventor Wrangler felt guilty and tried helping it get to the present to get help. It barely got into the present. Concaventor Wrangler called over the radio system that he had brought back a heavily injured animal. But when the medical team arrived they were surprised at what it was. They thought it was going to be one of the smaller animals of the formation not a Dicraeosaurus.
The medical team moved it to a medical holding pen.
Concaventor Wrangler returned to the tendaguru formation to finish the expedition. By the time he got back the rest of the team found a nesting ground for tendaguripterus. Despite being the size of a small bird it was giving the team trouble. But after three hours later they were able to catch a few pairs of the species and brought them back to the present.
So this has been the first season. I thank the people who have been supporting me through this project. A second season will come at some point. The target species will be decided at some point close to release of that season.
