They call it a "study" when its just extant animal sounds slightly pitched higher or lower. No actual sound design or studying put into it.

The Pinacosaurus calls throw everything we learned out the window, its mildly tuned mammal or crocodile sounds, despite having evidence that it made more avian-like sounds.

And despite putting 0 thought into it and calling it a "study", everyone PRAISES them
