Yeah hadrosaurs were really making it big in the cretaceous, especially when the grinding teeth patch came out. So competing with that while being massive is understandable.
Sauropods with a lower range, like Diplodocus or Nigersaurus, likely would have a harder time if they were put against hadrosaurs with a similar range. So titanosaurs with such immense height could stay out of the way of hadrosaurs but also outcompete other sauropods
