Uhhh look at this.
"The largest polar bear on record, reportedly weighing 1,002 kg (2,209 lb)." sure Wikipedia does have some misinformation, HOWEVER, sometimes they do get their facts correctly (which is why it can be okay in some occasions).
Smithsonian's Wildlife of the World gives polar bears a maximum size of 680 kg. Still big, but not bigger than Arctodus.
^ do you not realize that the source I'm talking about is talking about the largest Polar bear ever recorded?
Doubt it was what powerlord said did the conversion and that weight would put it at about half a ton if rounded
