I see many ask "which figure is better, ____ or ____ ?"

In response, I've decided to turn that very thing into a series.

For our first episode, I will go over several Deinocherius figures, and review the up and downsides of each. Which one is best? You decide!

1. SAFARI LTD DEINOCHERIUS

Pros:

• The color scheme is very unique and well done.

• Tons of detail packed in

• Dynamic and calm pose

• Well-proportioned

• Not shrink-wrapped at all, properly chunky.

Cons:

• VERY small compared to other models, around the size of the Schleich Utahraptor.

• Incredibly shaggy, maybe a bit too much feathering.

• Tail fan is too small

2. COLLECTA DEINOCHERIUS

Pros:

• HUGE, around 1:35 scale

• Interesting colors

• Decent amount of detail

• Good proportions reflect modern studies

Cons:

• Feathering may be a little too sparse

• Attached to base

• Not chunky enough for the animal, possibly even a little too thin.

• Very awkward pose

3. PNSO DEINOCHERIUS

Pros:

• Incredible detail, best of anything on this list

• The colors are exciting and well-done

• Many well-blended patterns.

• Accurate proportions, no shrinkwrapping, and reflects modern studies.

Cons:

• The detail goes down heavily on the neck

• Paint chips off very easily. The slightest topple and tons of paint comes off

• Extremely expensive, the priciest out of anything on this list

• Patterns stand out less in the final product.
