Now im not saying I think this theory is completely true. all im saying is that it COULD be true... ok so what if dinosaurs such as the Herrerasaurus had extra skin that went from their wrist to the start of their arm. since skin cant be preserved in fossils, this could very likely be true. but then again, the Herrerasaurus is probably not the kind of dinosaur that would have the ability to glide.
